The care we received was thorough, compassionate and very effective. A round of X-rays and blood work and we were on track to treat my pup. When we returned home, I was blown away when the veterinary doctor sent me a text to follow up and inquire about my pup. The after care, care was amazing. For the week after the initial visit, the veterinary doctor would occasionally file up to keep up with the progress. I was left feeling so grateful and cared for. My experience was first rate. Coastal rivers were the attending clinic under vet de jong. 2 days ago we did a checkup as the operation was unsuccessful for the cherry eye under vet de jong's care. Once at the appt we started to ask questions like Any ordinary furry puppy owner would ask: 1. Why did the operation fail? 2. What in your experience as a vet could be done? 3. Have you done many surgeries of this type ? 4. What is your vet experience? 5. If operated again would you seek out a senior vet's help for the procedure? .... Guess what? This is what she answered: "None of your business!!!!!" The vet actually said it's not our concern!!!! She knew we were fostering and were to adopt and Yes to the contrary it is our business to learn more about future procedures and her knowledge of this type of serious operation. After doing more research we found advice from actual animal eye surgeons called othmatology vets...... yes there are actually 2-3 clinics in the lower mainland that does this specialty and this vet was not a specialist so we wanted to know her skills. She lost it got triggered form us asking her serious questions and actually kidnapped the dog right from our hands and ran into the back. My wife and I didn't know what to do we were stunned! We found out after 10 mins and from this horrible vet De Jong that she called the spca and they must have told her to return the dog to us! Please avoid this Vet she treated us awfully and could not Handle us asking detailed questions about the surgery in the future. Why did she do this? Why was she so triggered? Being a young vet concludes that she Definitely needs more training and for sure more counselling and we will never ever go back to this clinic. Horrible! Dr VJ was told of this and assued me that he would do our next c-section! LIARS. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I quickly called Gladys Pet Hospital to ask for advice, which was just as they were closing. Dr Mundi had already left but immediately returned to the office so they could take us in. They gave her treatment to remove the toxin from the chocolate from her system, and were so kind and comforting. My 11 year old daughter was crying because she was so worried about our dog and Dr Mundi was very compassionate with her. They even called us this morning to check up on our puppy (who is doing just fine now )

The vet was very thorough in letting me know what my options were, and what choice she would make if she was in my position (which was Not the most expensive option).

There is no signage to find the place, and when I called for help the receptionist was short and rude Once I arrived there was quite a wait because she was busy chatting with the other 2 people waiting in the area. The reception area looks cluttered and really disorganized. Needs a serious clean up The receptionist has no concept of time. While I'm waiting for my dog to be brought out to me, why don't I pay now instead of trying to hang onto my dog and pay at the same time in 5 minutes? She is not efficient and visits take a lot longer than they have to because of her. Having said all that, despite how she annoys me, Dr. Burton is a really great vet and I'll continue to see him. But he should get someone new up front!

He cared for my Greatdane, Daina until she was almost 11yrs. He now cares for my Brussels Griffon Lois. Sometimes the front office is a little hectic, only because they are so busy. From the minute I called to make the appointment, they treated me like family. Very kind and patient. Dr. Durfee and Presley were so good with my little guy. They were gentle and took time to get to know me and my dog. They explained everything thoroughly and my little Bentley was really chill the whole time. About a month later brought Bentley for a nail trim. They did an amazing job and filed his nails so smooth. This week Bentley wasn't feeling well. I could tell. He had a cough and tummy troubles. Called the office and they fit us in right away. So friendly and kind, no pressure to purchase anything, made recommendations about current care and what may help once his tummy troubles clear. We have a plan to keep an eye on his heart condition two he can live as long as possible. I would clone him if I could. The entire team at Kulshan is amazing and I keep saying amazing because they are! If you're looking for any vet services, i truly and highly recommend them!!!

During this visit I let the tech know we would be out of town for the holidays when the last set of vaccinations were due and she stated, that's okay there is a 2 week grace period so as long as you get them in before 2 weeks they should be fine. I scheduled a time within the two week period and they told me I would have to start the vaccines all over again. This was a litter vaccine schedule so they would be charging a lot once again to re-vaccinate all of the puppies. If they were not so rude maybe I would think about it, but the staff has not been pleasant so many times. It's so unfortunate because the first appt with Dr. Erickson and his tech was absolutely amazing!!!
