At that time the bill was up to $550. He continued service, never called me back, including $140 for leaves in November on top of $40/week to cut the grass (grass does not grow enough that time of year to even be cut every 2 weeks!), I was at the house the first weekend of December and both the front and back yard were covered in leaves! I again called Rod, left 2 messages and never got a call back. Now the bill is up to $960 and Rod hired an attorney to collect the debt.I live in Florida and my father's house has since been sold. Rod didn't even have the decency to return my call after leaving him a message stating that I'd like to resolve the bill and letting him know that the house has been sold. AVOID THIS COMPANY! There are many other local landscaping companies in Somerset County, most of which will return a phone call and not take advantage.

Gavin and the rest of his crew worked non-stop from 1pm to 6pm plus to complete the job and they left it looking great! Very neat, great coverage, no damage to delicate flowers, no weeds and no plants buried. A very clean, professional job done with nothing required from me. I should also add that the owner Rich Mercurio kept to the schedule promised and got it done before our family gathering this weekend. Many who attended commented on how great the landscaping looked. We've been with Green Valley for three years now and have been pleased throughout. Thanks to the team for a job well done!

Sad to say I really felt compelled to come write an update here…read more Bruce is a very nice man, and his crew are hard working guys - they do a good job and do what they're told by their boss. Unfortunately it seems like Mr. Donovan is just not 'into' running his business anymore. Virtually no communication, voicemails that go un-responded to, emails that NEVER get responded to. One big example - Mr. Donovan sent us a contract for the start of this season - which we never signed. I'd left him several voicemails letting him know that due to communication challenges I would not be using his services. Two weeks later (thankfully I was home) I see a Donovan truck pull up in front of my house, his guys offloading mowers ready to go. I explained to them as best I could with my broken spanglish that we would not be using Donovan, that Bruce was aware, and that I was very sorry because they were great guys - gave them bottles of water and sent on their way. Sadly they did not seem surprised by the news. Mr. Donovan, if you read these, I want to be clear: I'm pulling for you and your team. You need to figure out how to get yourself organized. If you'd like some help on the computer front, reach out to me - I'm very good at what I do and would love to help you get your business turned in a good direction. Until then...buyer beware.

He arrived exactly on time to estimate the cost of our project taking a lot of time discussing our ideas and offering some of his own. Again, when the job started he and his crew arrived right on time and started working immediately. My wife and I were very impressed that he was at our home for the entire job- before the job commenced he took his entire crew around the property explaining exactly what was to be done. He was on the job with his crew for the whole time supervising but also working right along with them. The job they did can only be described as PERFECT. We have lived in our community for 42 years and have had numerous landscapers and lawn care people working at our home over the years. JHMC has been one of the best. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Give them a try- I know you won't regret it.
