Wish I had taken more advantage of the amenities after spending $190 + tip for a 80 minute deep tissue massage, which the massage therapist really didn't seem to apply much in the way of deep tissue therapy. Even my mother-in-law was a bit taken aback by the $60 manicure which only involved painting her nails (no hand massage or cleaning her nails - just the polish). Beware in the Spa Gift Shop as they don't list the prices on all the items ... and when you do hear the prices, you'll find yourself asking them to repeat them for you as they are so unrealistically overpriced as my sister-in-law discovered when she went to try to purchase one of the necklaces. The tag looked to be $25 but it was $125 ... If I had to do this over again I would have spent the better part of the day enjoying the amenities at the spa such as the sauna, soaked in the mineral baths and lounged around before having the massage to off set some of the costs of setting foot in the place. read more

This spa is absolutely beautiful! It is quiet and calming. The changing room is spacious and private. There are pools outside and a private women's only pool. The showers are spacious and they have the rain forest shower heads. In the waiting room there is a ton of natural light with views of nature outside. There are 3 options for loose teas, spa water and snacks. If you're looking for a massage therapist who is detail oriented, aware and who truly cares about you, book with Maddy! She did such a great job on my massage and I was blown away by her ability to attend to everything I was in need of. She is very grounded and will take such good care of you! The spa has gone downhill since our last visit. One of the pools was out of order as well as the men's steam room. In the lounge area they have hot water for tea but we're out of tea. The forms to fill out before massage were out. I feel like we were constantly having to ask the front desk for things that should have been stocked. $40 for Sparkle Hour at 3-5pm which is a glass of bubbly and two hours to use the spa. Grab a lounge outside to soak in the rays, nap, read, hot tubs. Do not order food at lounge to eat at spa. Poor service. 1 hour to get a mediocre turkey sandwich and they gave us the wrong cheese. read more

The massage was amazing. The spa + amenities, also amazing. The service at the front desk, was the opposite of service and quite rude to be totally honest. It is really unfortunate because the place has has so much potential to be wonderful. Amazing experience! My mom, sister and I had a girls spa experience. Outstanding in every way. Upon arrival we got a quick tour and orientation. The staff was professional and efficient and accommodating. The changing area was very nicely decorated and had private changing areas. We were given a private locker we could lock and comfortable robes and slippers. With showers and all the accessories you want including private huge showers, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, lotion, deodorant, mouth wash, combs, hair dryers etc. We each had a massage in private rooms. I requested a deep tissue massage and that's what I got. My only regret was that the massage was only 50 minutes long, but I guess they have to stay on schedule. (At my regular massage place at home you get a full hour or what ever you've scheduled of active massage. I guess I'm spoiled by that). I could have just fallen asleep on the massage table. It was nicely heated, the room darkened, lovely peaceful music and fragrance made it very relaxing. The therapist was professional and efficient. The spa was obviously very busy with both male and female clients. The waiting area had lovely comfortable chairs and bean bags for lounging with a fire place! Complimentary loose teas and cucumber water for hydration. You could order all sorts of tasty things to eat and drink (extra of course) but the price was fair (not overpriced as I would have expected). We had a charcuterie plate which as delicious. I saw lots of folks with wine and champagne. We also took advantage of their heated mineral springs! Outside in the snow! But oh, so amazingly warm and relaxing! They had co-Ed and women's only spring baths! They also had saunas and steam rooms which we did not take advantage of. We had hoped to get a mani and pedi but they were fully booked. The mineral springs, saunas and steam rooms all come with a "treatment". You should take advantage of all their services and make a day of it! I would totally go back if I'm ever in the area again. Too expensive for the services offered, especially when the spa is closed due to Covid restrictions.

Overall experience was nice. Spa services were not the best. My massage was just ok, which is fine because at the very least it still felt decent. But my hydrafacial was the worst I've ever had. I usually walk away from a hydrafacial with radiating skin and completely unclogged pores but not this time. I had no idea you could have a bad hydrafaical when it's a machine that's doing the work. I don't recall any extractions (besides the bridge of my nose). She didn't give me any clue as to what she was doing when. I have no idea if I really got the additional serum I purchased. When she was done, I asked to see the liquid and there was about 1/2 of an inch of liquid and literally nothing floating around in there. I said something about it and she said I had beautiful skin and it wasn't very clogged. Not true. I have large pores that get very clogged and the last facial I had was about 4-5 months ago. When I asked about the little amount of liquid she said that it's not necessary and a waste of product. I left there feeling completely robbed of my money and time. For $275, you would expect A LOT more. I will come back to Suncadia but not the spa. read more

Very nice location and friendly folks. A group of 7 of us went. All said massages were average-a little too much time preparing and adjusting etc. neither the 50 nor 90 min massages lasted the advertised time. With a soda the 50 min massage (actually 40) was $160. Not quite worth it. Also they warn you food takes an hour from order to delivery. Our fruit and cheese plates took a full hour at 2 pm so I can only imagine how long it would be during busier hours. I would recommend skipping it and enjoying a hike and the beautiful location instead. read more

I just had a wonderful massage. I've been before, and this time I did a 50 minute massage, sauna, and took a dip in each of the three soaking pools (each is progressively cooler). I could have done the steam bath, but I wouldn't have been able to walk. Last time I had food brought over, and sat by the pond relaxing with a nice glass off chilled white wine and noshies. They failed to tell me that the spa was closing at 2pm that day for cleaning, which meant I barely go to use any of the facilities before I was told I needed to leave. I had very high expectations, as The Lodge has become a favorite day trip getaway with out of town guests for a fabulous lunch & wonderful views. First impressions, we got our robe & slippers...yeah! Spa Tour.. as we went out to the Women's Only Mineral Pool.. dirty towels piled up, empty champagne bottles and glasses, broken steam room..hmmm The Mineral Pool was very nice once we asked nicely if it could cleaned up by gals chatting at front desk. It is nice, but only holds four women comfortably There was a couple " coupling" in the co-ed pool and the plunge pool was freezing so on we changed back into our robes and went to wait in the " Serenity" Room, may have name incorrect. The space is very nice and serene but again a bit " tired" The large bean bags reminded me of a well loved stuffed animal.. great at home, but at a spa with lots of clients? I booked appointments for my friend and I two weeks early. I received a confirmation phone call but when we got there they said that their system lost my appointment. They squeezed me in for other time slots but it created havoc with our afternoon plans. All four of their pools were not working. We waited an hour and a half for our cheese and hummus trays. They ended up comping the food and beverage but the day was not the relaxing time we planned on. I was very disappointed. read more

Do not go on a Saturday if you want to actually relax. It was so crowded the Sanctuary room was packed wall to wall and standing room only. It was uncomfortable, loud, and anything but relaxing. Locker room was packed. One of the main outdoor soaking tubs was drained and out of service and the water in one of the others was at least six inches below the water line. Spa days are a rarity for me, and this one defeated the purpose and wasn't at all worth the money. read more

First off, this spa is incredibly beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and the 2 facials I've had here have been outstanding. Unfortunately, my second visit just today was not nearly as good as my first a few years back. (Bummer, too, because we just bought a vacation home nearby with my hope of becoming a regular at this spa) Anyway, when checking in, the person greeting me was sort of welcoming, and asked if I had been there before. I said yes, but that it had been several years, so I needed a tour. She provided the tour, but it was very quick, and didn't accentuate the amnesties much. It felt rushed, which left me a little tense, and the place was a mess. Towels, brushes, dirty glasses, and the free lotions and whatnot all over made it look like 10 people had been through there since the last cleaning. From there, I changed, enjoyed the showers, sauna, and spa. I then made it to the waiting room, where I sat without seeing any staff, for about 20 minutes. (No tea offered, food, nothing) My esthetician greeting me right on time, was professional and did an excellent facial. She took me back to the waiting area once my 80 minute appointment ended, and I proceeded back to the locker room, which was tidied up since my arrival. Once dressed, I returned to the woman at the front to inquire about locals specials or package deals. She sort of responded, but mostly kept her eyes on her computer screen. She made me feel as though I was a bother, so I thanked her and said have a good night. (She had a great chance to sell me more services, and book future visits, but didn't even try) Overall, it's a beautiful spa. The guy who took my reservation, Micah, was awesome, my esthetician was awesome, but the experience was lackluster due to the lady at the front and the Locker room being so disheveled when I arrived. For the cost, I expected the level of satisfaction I had with my first visit, several years ago. read more

Oh how I wanted this to be a great experience. The spa is beautiful with multiple outdoor baths and a great selection of spa services. Unfortunately the management and scheduling were very poor. We scheduled 4 spa services 3 weeks in advance of our planned vacation. 1 week in advance we called to add a service for an additional guest. Apparently at that point it all went wrong. Somehow all appointments were cancelled. To the credit the folks really did try and fix the mix up by offering a day pass and spa services on another day, but even then one of the rescheduled services ended up being wrong. read more

Awful customer service- snobby staff. After I had a very expensive facial, I was getting dressed in the locker room only to find that my swimsuit had been taken with my towel. When I called to get a reimbursement or a gift card, they said there was nothing I could do since I signed the concent form. Apparently all customers sign away the right to have them steal your stuff. The receptionist I spoke to said this happens all the time...apparently watch your stuff, even the staff take things. read more

Had a Pedicure at this beautiful spa. The Pedicure was not worth the price by any means. In fact I had the service over the Memorial Day weekend and STILL have the ugly polish on as I cannot even get it off my nails with nail polish remover! She was not great at the massage part of the pedi and never shaped or buffed my nails before she slapped on the polish. Over priced. When I made the booking I got such difficulty from the scheduler, I almost didn't book. There is a Manditory 20% gratuity automatically added. So, I think that is where the lack luster $75 (pre-tip) pedicure comes from, No incentive to do a great job cuz they are already getting 20% guarenteed. The spa itself is amazingly decorated and the multi outdoor soaking spas all at a different temperature complete with a quaint zen-ful babbling brook sets the mood for a superior spa service, yet sadly, falls WAY short. read more

OMG!!! Christoper is absolutely phenomenal. I have been to ALOT of spas including 4 seasons and the golden door, yet I have never received a massage anywhere near that amazing. Christopher took time to listen to my needs and addressed everything. I literally left the room in a daze bumping into the walls on cloud 9 and felt 10 years younger for days. I recently spent my anniversary at Suncadia and my husband bought me a facial at the spa. First impression was of two workers gossiping at the desk. After that my impressions were good. I had some yummy tea and relaxed in a room with a beautiful view. Soon a woman named jalen introduced herself and brought me back to do my facial. She was calm and professional, not like the ones up front. My facial was heavenly, so relaxing. Jalen gave me some advice on taking care of my skin. She was knowledgable and not pushy. I was very disappointed in my experience in this spa. Six of us came for a special occasion and the staff did nothing to acknowledge this nor did they have any personality when they checked us in. It was a Saturday and extremely crowded and the service was over-priced and they insisted on adding 20% gratuity before we received our treatment. The esthetician did nothing extra to deserve 20% and actually lacked real effort. Massade was weak and the cheese and hummus plates took an hour and a half and arrived while we were in our treatments so weren't fresh when we returned to the sanctuary. The "hot" soaking pools were cold at 2pm in the afternoon b/c they were filling them up with water. I have never written a bad review about a place but I expected way more for the hype and price and would not go there again. read more
