Prince and his first turkey artwork!
Steph K.

This review is long overdue. My fur-baby Prince has been going to Glacier K9 every weekday for almost 4 months now and Glacier K9 has been such a blessing! Tues-Fri outside of doggy day care the dogs do enrichment which includes weekly activities. My wife and I look forward to the daily posts of our fur-baby in action having a blast with his friends. Prince has never been so happy playing rather then laying around while we work and sometimes gets upset when I pick him up to early. The entire staff is amazing and friendly and just loves for and cares about Prince which is very important to me. Glacier K9 is one of the best things about Kalispell and we are so grateful for everyone!

A great team that you can tell honestly cares for your pet. Day care and boarding have both been great experiences.

The Dog Club

Amazing People, Amazing Care!…read more I highly recommend The Dog Club. Every employee there is dedicated and passionate about our furry babies and their responsibility to care for them. We were passing through town and needed doggie day care for one day. Susanne, the owner, and her staff were incredibly attentive, accommodating, professional, and most importantly made our furry baby, Karma (an 85 pound 3-year old Airedale) their priority. Karma's meet-and-greet was done with utmost care and concern for not only Karma but all the other canine's being cared for that day. Our plans changed and they were very flexible, even offered to pick up Karma in the morning for a small fee that was very reasonable. Even though the meet/greet went well I was a bit nervous leaving her. When I called in later that morning, the staff gave me a thorough update on her status. I appreciated the straightforward honesty of which karma was doing OK it just took her a while to settle in. The staff said they were working with her to find the most appropriate dogs for her to play with and did some puzzles with her to get her to relax. When we picked Karma up in the afternoon she was very happy.

**Extremely Disappointed and Concerned About Safety Practices**…read more I had taken my 9-month-old Rottweiler to The Dog Club for several months, trusting that he was in a safe and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, I later learned that the owner had knowingly allowed a highly reactive--borderline aggressive--Sheltie to interact with the general dog population for over two years. I first became aware of this dog's unstable behavior during a Saturday class led by one of the trainers, and I had hoped the situation was being responsibly managed. It was not. Eventually, I received a call notifying me that my pup had been involved in an "altercation." What actually happened was far more serious. The aggressive Sheltie had lunged at another dog, rebounded into my Rottie, and when my dog tried to set a boundary, the Sheltie escalated. My dog was left traumatized and had visible scabs on his neck after the encounter. As is often the case, the larger dog was unfairly blamed. The fact that this Sheltie had a long history of reactivity--and was still being allowed to roam freely among other dogs--is completely unacceptable. Using the general dog population as a "buffer" for this Sheltie's behavior was reckless and dangerous. Most reputable daycares would never allow this dog to remain in group settings, let alone for two years. To make matters worse, when I met with the owner to express my concerns, she took absolutely no accountability. Her proposed "solution" was to isolate my Rottie behind a gated area where he could watch other dogs play, while staff would spend one hour a day with him--an arrangement she admitted was also being used for the Sheltie. In other words, my well-adjusted, social dog was being punished for defending himself against an unstable dog who should never have been in group play in the first place. The Dog Club failed my dog, and I would strongly caution other dog owners--especially those with large breeds--to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets' well-being. The owner herself even stated that her staff cannot handle my Rottie as he is "too Strong". That should probably be put in her advertisement then!

We had never boarded our dogs before, so I was very apprehensive, but after reading several positive reviews, decided to make a reservation with Three Dog Ranch. We have two large great Pyrenees mixes so I requested that they be boarded in their own double bunkhouse. The staff were very kind and attentive and took the time to get to know our dogs and their unique personalities. I was able to enjoy the concert with my husband and when we picked our dogs up the following morning, they seemed happy and healthy. They did not appear distressed, and I am assuming they had a wonderful sleepover full of excitement because they slept hard the next day. Thank you Three Dog Ranch for taking such good care of my fur babies and allowing my husband and I to have a good time at the concert.

This was our first time using Three Dog Ranch, and also our dog's first time boarding. I feel…read morefortunate that he didn't have any injuries or accidents requiring a vet visit for now. I do believe their staff work to keep the dogs safe. However, when we picked up our dog, his whole body still smelled strongly of urine, and parts of him were still not dry. I could even see his paw prints in it. We dropped him off clean, so it's concerning to think he might have been sitting in urine during the days of boarding. Another issue was their internal communication. We arranged via email with Steph to drop off medication that needed to be given the morning after our pickup day (my email was titled "Aug. 11 for our dog"). But when we picked him up, a staff member at the Whitefish location said he read "Aug. 14" on the note and didn't administer the medication. They never called or checked with us to clarify. While these may seem like small details, I had higher expectations before choosing this place. I wouldn't say they neglected the dogs, but there are definitely areas--like communication and cleanliness--that could be improved.

I needed to have something shipped and sadly, this one does not deliver. The staff was so kind in trying to figure out how to get my items from their store to a home about 20 minutes away. I would give them no stars if I could…read more Our second visit to the GF store was a huge disappointment. We booked a different groomer this time, and right away she refused to groom my 50 lb shepherd mix--first because of shedding (which is exactly why we made the appointment), then claiming my 11-year-old dog was "too old." When I asked for a better explanation, the manager backed her up instead of addressing the issue. Meanwhile, my dachshund had already been taken back. When I picked her up--after paying a high price--it didn't look like she'd been properly bathed. She still had visible dander, smelled like she'd just been sprayed, and her feet weren't cleaned. It's hard to believe she received the full service. Before leaving, I saw my shepherd mix in the grooming area, calmly being combed on the table. Later, the manager told me she was "too difficult" and wouldn't allow grooming--even though she hadn't even been bathed. That didn't match what I witnessed. Between the poor service, lack of honesty, and overall treatment, I won't be returning. I'll be taking this complaint to upper management. I wouldn't trust this store or that groomer with my dogs.
