We opted to stay here and recuperate in Alameda's hot springs after three days of strenuous hiking…read morein Glacier National Park and before flying back out of Missoula. This very cozy complex of cottages and rooms were built in the 1930s. The hot water in the kitchen and in the room tubs are all from the hot springs below the retreat center. I asked, and apparently you can actually drink the hot spring water. Though it does taste strange (because of all the sulfur and magnesium). And it may impact your digestion. (We did NOT drink the hot spring water available from the sink in our room's kitchenette! We only drank the cold water, which is from the municipal tap.) I think that the way this place works is that the rooms have permanent residents. But when they are out of town for an extended period of time, their rooms get rented out to travelers like me. My partner and I stayed in Room #9, which was smaller than the other rooms, as it lacked a full bathroom. Instead the room had a tiny closet next to the bed with only a toilet in it! Because of this situation, occupants of Room #9 are able to access the "Mermaid Room," which has a toilet, sink, towels, and a vintage clawfoot bathtub (again, with hot spring water coming out of the faucet). This means, that a single person can have their own private hot spring soak in the Mermaid Room, which we took advantage of. Our room had a cozy bed with a space heater. We never felt cold in the room. The kitchen next to our room had a small table, an electric stove and oven, fridge, and utensils and plates. I wish it had basic spices and some cooking oil, but the town's grocery stores are a 5-minute walk away. While the access to the private bathtub was nice, my partner and I also wanted to soak together and outdoors, so we signed up for a 7:00 pm soak (an extra $10 for 2 people) in one of their four outdoor tubs, all separated from each other by high wooden fences, for privacy. The tubs are pretty basic. No jets or bubbles. But it was lovely to be able to soak under the stars. The town also has other nearby public hot spring tubs, two of them run by the tribes ($5 each - cash only and honor system), but none of them were private like Alameda's. Also, the staff we engaged with (who I think were also residents) were all very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this cozy spot with a lot of history and character (and characters)!

It was a great pleasure working with Brian at Oasis Spas! We ordered our spa 14 months before we…read moreneeded it during the supply chain fiasco. Oasis stored the new spa for 8 months. On delivery day Brian and his crew were prompt and professional, placing our hot tub perfectly. After delivery our home builder completed the install and wiring. 3 days later... no heat. What good is a cold jacuzzi!? After reading the owner's manual cover to cover we called Brian ( the owner). "See you tomorrow"was his immediate response... no argument, no hedging. He arrived exactly on time the next day and started testing the jacuzzi electric panel. After 2 minutes he found a single wire plugged into the wrong blade connector. Bingo! We got heat! It was a factory screw up. Very rare according to Brian. Product support is crucial! Brian and Oasis are always available. He gave us his cell number and he answers it!!! We have had the absolute worst experience with Oasis spa in Kalispell…read more We ordered and paid for a hot tub cover in early June and was promised that it would deliver mid-July. I called back end of July and no one knew anything about the order. I kept following up on the order and they would promise call backs but would never call us back. Then they said it was in transit, but nothing ever came of it. When I finally called the Missoula location, they let me know that it had never been ordered. The Kalispell location took our money and did not even place the order. After so many calls, they still did nothing to place the order. When I spoke to Brian the manager about this, he did not apologize, instead he was rude and hung up the phone on me. I have never ever dealt with this bad of customer service in my life. I am in disbelief that they are still in business. We will be letting all of our family & friends know that they make promises and take your money and do nothing to provide a product or service.
