When I walked in I got some friendly faces from people that worked there. I was between two flavors that I wanted, Moka or Ferrara Rocher. I asked the lady that worked there if I could try the the Ferrar Rocher, she gave me a tiny little taste, then I asked for a second and she yelled at me and said no, only one taste. She said unless you are going to buy a pint, otherwise only one taste. And I said, even a little taste, she said no. I have been to hundred Gelato and ice cream places in US and overseas and never has this happened to me. I come all the way from California and thought I would get some tasty ice cream but that wasn't the case unfortunately. We called to talk to the owner and he just yelled at us. No customer service. This place won't last long with owners like this! Again, instead of yelling at us, the owner could have said kindly, and patiently what he has told his employees to tell customers no, that go over board on the tasting. I just asked for a little tiny taste- she even refused when my husband asked for a taste as well and he was going to also buy scoop. His parents who live and used to own a pharmacy on Winklestraat of Wilrijk for the past 30 something years recommended the location but after this, we will tell everyone we know not to go to Willy Vanilly.

Some of the best gelato I've ever had! I got the rocher (like ferrero rocher (chocolate hazelnut)) and hazelnut. Yes, I love hazelnut as you can tell. The gelato was so good! The texture was perfect and the flavor was great! I also think that their waffle cones in Belgium are way better. They need to open a gelato factory in LA asap! I'm so sad that I live so far away, but I guess it will just be another reason for me to come back to visit!

Every flavour is home made and the don't usually have the same flavours for two days in a row, which i find rather exciting. First time I went, I had a cone with a scoop of Hazelnut and a scoop of Caramel. Although the caramel one was delicious, the Hazelnut gelatto is out of this fu$&ng world (Pardon my French). Second time I had coffee gelato and I repeated with the Hazelnut. If you're not sure about what to have, ask the really nice girls who work there for a taste. I recommend banana which also embraces your taste buds in a cold yet warm loving hug hahaha I say this is the best ice cream in Antwerp. I dare anyone to tell me there's something better.
