Glügk is an eclectic place a fusion of Portugese, Italian and Alsace German is probably the best improbable description. However, the main problem is that the the flavours and seasonings are not quite right and somehow there is some disharmony on the tongue, but this is purely a subjective opinion. The blutwurst is a classic example it was supposed to be French style but it was too sweet, slightly lumpy and and tasted rather odd. However, this does show that all the food seems to have been prepared in-house which I suppose should be a plus point.
The decor is as discordant as the food with several genres from several periods thrown in together somewhat chaotically but it is still pleasant and welcoming. The fact that the place is full also attests to the number of people who like the food here.
The service is pleasant and overall, it is a place I might reconsider trying again just in case we had picked the wrong selection. Anyway, if you like an interesting dinner, then Glügk is perhaps not the worst place in Berlin to try. read more
