After hurricane damage, we began considering an exterior update for our Redington Beach, FL home…read more We'd talked about it for a while, and after seeing Alpine Exteriors' impressive projects around Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg, we finally decided to reach out. After dealing with high quotes and poor follow-up from other companies, it was refreshing to find a team that was responsive, professional, and made the process stress-free from the very first meeting. Veto was especially accommodating with scheduling and product selections, which made everything even easier. Our old siding had definitely seen better days, and I knew I wanted Hardie siding for its durability and warranty. Learning that Alpine had just won a Hardie Award gave us extra peace of mind. We ultimately chose pre-painted James Hardie lap siding in Iron Gray with crisp Arctic White trim--a combination that completely transformed the house. Neighbors constantly compliment the new look, calling it sharp and coastal. In addition to the siding, Alpine upgraded all our windows to dark brown aluminum PGT impact windows, replaced the soffits with pre-painted white aluminum, and installed two new French doors in the back along with a new storm-resistant front entry door. Having one trusted contractor handle everything--rather than juggling multiple companies--was a huge benefit. The results exceeded our expectations. The Iron Gray siding paired with the bright white trim created a timeless coastal style that fits our Redington Beach neighborhood perfectly. Alpine even handled interior updates like drywall repairs, baseboards, trim, and painting, ensuring the whole project felt seamless. Communication was great, scheduling was efficient, and Veto happily addressed any questions I had. As a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor--featured directly on the Hardie website--and the winner of the 2025 James Hardie National Project of the Year award, Alpine Exteriors delivered on every promise. Their certifications with PGT and CWS windows also gave us confidence in the quality of the products installed. If you're in the Tampa Bay or Redington Beach area and need siding, roofing, or exterior remodeling, we wholeheartedly recommend Alpine Exteriors. They truly went above and beyond.

When they came out they broke the spout for the tub and had to replace that. Then they broke the tube drain. They told us that they were going to send us a plumber to fix It. So we were nice enough to pay them since they promised they would come back on Tue July 1 2025. They didn't show up, so we texted them and they said they got their money and they are not coming back and said that they did not break anything. Bill the owner, warned us getting shingles may be tricky due to the COVID situation but they came through and did a fabulous job! Work - The work is of a good standard, when the workers were at the property they were quick and efficient. However, the satellite dish I have was left dangling off the side of my house and was not reattached. Annoying but far from a big deal. Aside from this not much mess was left. However, I am still finding the odd Nail in and around my front and rear yard, again not to much of an issue. Time frame - From deposit to start of work this was about 5 weeks and this was clearly advised. This was fine by me and perfectly acceptable. When asked for a check for the deposit I advised that I do not have a checkbook, never have. I asked if they accepted wire transfers which they do but almost begrudgingly. When work started The old roof was taken off quickly within an 8 hour period, however it took 14 days before work began on putting the new roof on. There was a small storm during this time and the owner did come out to check for any damage the very same day. However, 14 days without a roof is not something that was ever mentioned. The delay in my roof being finished caused issues with my insurance company. My policy was canceled as I was unable to supply them with an inspection and wind mitigation report. Communication and transparency - I compiled a number of quotes for a roof and initially I was pleased with how quickly Big C was able to get back to me with a quote. They were keen to have my business. This however is where any form of good communication stops. As I was interested also in guttering I asked for a quote. One of the owner who I delt with assured me that he would get that quote out to me when he was next was at the property, however a quote for gutters was never given or followed up on by Big C despite asking via text, email and over the telephone. Things got worse, 4 days after the roof was taken off I received a missed call from the office. I returned the call 20 minutes later. It turns out the owner was ordering shingles and was audibly annoyed that I had missed his call. He then goes on to scold me as he had just placed his mass order for all the shingles of his roof jobs but realised he didn't know what type and color shingles I wanted. He didn't know this of course because he had not ever asked me. The color was not of much importance to me, and I asked why he waited until he was ordering shingles to find out what kind I wanted. I advised that he could have texted or emailed or called during the six day period or preceeding 5 weeks to find that out. The owner told me that he doesn't have time for that. Final invoice was much higher than the original estimate. That is because Big C do not include everything in thier original estimates, which gives the impression of a really good competitive price. When I asked for clarification again I was told by the owner that he didn't have time for it and to call him to discuss. I suspect that big c prefer when things are not documented in words. One thing Big C does have time for is sending out invoices. Two days after final inspection Big C requested payment for the roof. I arranged payment and assumed everything would be well. I was wrong, I received a phone call about a week later from the owner looking for payment. I explained I had arranged this & again it seemed as if Big C were miffed that I had used a wire transfer. Conclusion - I could not in good faith recommend this company to anybody. Whilst the work is good and I have no conpliants, The communication is poor, the owner is rude and they lack transparency
