A handy central place to get ideas for gifts and presents from multiple suppliers for many occasions.

Most of us couldn't afford to totally deck our houses out with the stuff, but for a high-end gift, it might hit the spot. The items on sale are far removed from merchandise sold in other gift shops, not a 'póg mo thón' plastic apron in sight. This makes it popular with those tourists who look for some expensive authenticity Irish to bring home with them, and who have a few euros to spare. It's a good place for a wedding present too, or a smaller gift if you can't cough up the big bucks. It's a slightly pretentious establishment (definitely the kind of place might refer to itself as an establishment, it's not a common shop, don't you know), which I suppose comes part and parcel with the business they attract. Inside is kind of airy, ethereal and peaceful - the perfect atmosphere in which to conduct some expensive Celtic purchasing.

The inclusion of cards in a shop that sells gifts is pure brilliance in my opinion and it saves me traipsing around trying to find an appropriate card. If you're not the girly sort, they also sell a good selection of other stationary, newspapers and magazines. If you like Brian did once upon-a-time, attend Primary School around the corner the shop also sells primary and post primary books as well as offering a book covering service.

Since then we've both changed, I no longer go to Primary School around the corner, Rosalins is no longer just a newsagents. She looks the same outside, but inside she's changed almost beyond recognition. They have completely spruced the interior into a bookshop, come gift shop, come newsagents. They sell all manner of dainty gifts for ladies like sweet tea-cups and notebooks and things, and all manner of gifts for gentlemen like wallets and globes and things. The whole idea works very well and the new, improved Rosalins is a great success. The staff are as friendly as you could want and the range of books is nothing to be sniffed at neither. I didn't ask if they had Golf Balls anymore, but we're different people/places now and it just didn't seem appropriate.
