To follow up, after a busy day, we had a 3pm yum cha at the Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant located in the Geelong CBD. What a delight! The kitchen was technically shut when we arrived, but the lovely staff were happy to keep it open for us. We lunched on the classics: ginger prawn dumplings, shark fin and scallop dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls cooked to crispy perfection. When Twosheds' eyes were bigger than what could be eaten, our lovely attentive staff member happily converted remaining food to take away. The surroundings here are fantastic too. One of my favourite cuisines is Chinese, the flavours, the spice, the chilli, and a good stirfry is always worth having for a quick dinner. I was super impressed when we found Silver Chopsticks in Werribee. It has become our go to Chinese restaurant close to home. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of our favourite dishes are the steamed home made Dim Sims which I think rival what you an get at Sth Melbourne Market. The Pork spare ribs in Mongolian sauce, melt in your mouth pork with a great sauce. For a healthy dinner the chicken and cashew nuts with some added Chinese mushrooms is a treat. Silver Chopsticks does both sit down and take away (pick up) which adds to the flexibility. The staff are friendly and generally attentive. We have had one experience where they were super busy that we got a little left out and ended up with quite a long wait for food. Silver Chopsticks also do a Chinese New Year banquet do with Lion dancers and fireworks. Great fun!
