Definitely worth the visit. If you are in Barcelona and would like to visit historical sites, game of thrones sites, and visit a church that has a lot of relics, then Girona is the place for you. It's chill, laidback and just wonderful place! I enjoyed the cathedral and the walk up hill. I did this as a day trip and it's worth it. Even if you don't stay here overnight, one day to roam around is enough. I got to visit the cathedral, crossed the bridges, shop, eat, drink and made it back to the station early.
