I am a beginner to the gym workout life. I've always worked out at home with the little equipment…read morethat I have such as bands, free weights, and running around the neighborhood. I used to be a part of a commercial gym prior to joining PFRX. It was one of those gems that were always clean, had a nice inexpensive monthly rates, and many many machine options. The problem for me was, that every time I went, I had to wait a turn or alter my workout due to the lack of availability of machines. I found that when I would be able to work out I had to somewhat rush myself through my workout because people would always ask me how many more reps do I have left. So I begin to venture out and look for another gym home one that could accommodate all of my needs. That is what PFRX has done for me. There are friendly and knowledgeable staff during staffing hours, location is always clean, if I have any questions on how to use a machine properly during staff hours, someone is happy to help me. They have trainers available. And most importantly for me, they aren't as crowded as your commercial gyms, which allows me the access to mini machines, and to be able to get a workout in without someone asking am I using this machine or how many reps do I have left? For me, those are huge factors! Now, yes, this is not a commercial gym and the price is very reasonable when you are investing in your health and wellness. I am truly enjoying my time at PFRX and I am really looking forward to our relationship in the coming years. Oh wait! I didn't mention the variety of machines and services they have. Wanna know, book your tour! You won't be disappointed.

As a registered yoga teacher myself, I have had the opportunity to learn from many instructors over…read morethe years, and Gabriella is one of the most exceptional teachers I have ever encountered. I first met Gabriella at NOLA Yoga Fest, where I attended one of her inversion workshops. I was so impressed by her teaching that I began attending her weekly handstand and inversion classes and have continued to do so consistently ever since. What sets Gabriella apart is her remarkable ability to truly see her students. She can watch someone move for only a few moments and identify exactly what is limiting their progress, what adjustments need to be made, and what specific drills or techniques will help them improve. Her understanding of anatomy, body mechanics, and skill development is extraordinary. She seems to have an endless toolkit of exercises, progressions, and creative approaches that allow every student to work at their own level while continuing to advance. As a teacher, I am especially impressed by her effectiveness. Many instructors can create an enjoyable class. Far fewer can consistently help students make meaningful progress in a complex skill like inversions. Gabriella does. She has an incredible ability to break down difficult movements into understandable steps, and she knows exactly how to challenge each student appropriately. One of the things I appreciate most is that Gabriella expects her students to work. Her classes are not passive, and they are not built around making everyone feel comfortable all the time. They are built around helping people improve. She is not a teacher who babies students, but she is a teacher who invests in them. If you come to class ready to learn, listen, and put in the effort, you will be challenged, supported, and given the tools to grow. Beyond her technical expertise, Gabriella is an incredibly effective communicator. Her verbal cues are precise and easy to understand, her demonstrations are both beautiful and instructive, and she creates an environment that feels focused, encouraging, and empowering. Complex skills that once felt intimidating become accessible under her guidance. I have maintained a dedicated yoga practice for years across Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga traditions, and Gabriella remains my favorite yoga teacher I have ever studied with. Every class deepens my understanding of movement, and every class leaves me with something new to work on. The progress I have made in my inversion practice is a direct result of her instruction. In a fitness and yoga culture that often prioritizes feeling accomplished over actually developing skill, Gabriella is refreshingly committed to genuine progress. If you have the opportunity to study with her, whether you are brand new to inversions or an experienced practitioner looking to refine your practice, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

There's a handful of great teachers at this studio, which is a solid hot vinyasa studio in NOLA but…read moreGabriella isn't one of them so I'm putting a one star review here to bring awareness. In 20 years of practice, I have never seen a teacher anywhere on the globe that teaches with such ego, narcissism and lack of concern for student safety. Literally told her before class that I have hardware in my lumbar and my PT told me not to do backbends anymore because I hardly have a disc left above my 19yo spinal fusion yet she ridicules me in front of the class for not doing the backbends she calls for. Pretty appalling. Going to her classes are sitting through more of a session in her kissing her own ass than they are actually practicing yoga. Take heed Look out for teachers such as Connor, Kaitlyn & Ciara at this studio if you want skillful teachers with empathy and compassion for students

Signing up late is no problem as long as there is space available and you can sign up on the mind body app so its easy. There are folks of all shapes, sizes, abilities, and fitness goals in the classes so you shouldn't feel shy. Joe and Natalie are awesome trainers. I do personal training with Natalie Saturday mornings and I do 2-3 50 minute boot camp classes with Joe per week. Boot camp classes consist of exercises with a box, mat, free weights, kettle bells, resistance bands, Bosu balls, gliders, and medicine balls. Each class is different. The building is a warehouse with astroturf and a separate studio area with mirrors.
