Went to a friend's showing of local American artists, chosen by jury selection, and I was…read moreimpressed. This art museum is beautiful on Youngstown State's campus. Galleries show only artwork by Americans, the only museum of its kind in the U.S. One gallery is artwork showing Native Americans. Others showed large wall paintings and smaller paintings and some sculptures. The newest display of local artists runs through February 25, 2026. Lovely gift shop. Free. Check it out.

However, although a non-profit, they heavily overcharge for meals, then rely on mostly volunteer workers to pack and deliver these meals. They abuse and exploit the non-profit tax code for grants, and again, for the sake of profit. Profit is their final goal. Not breaking even, but making a profit off the backs of those who cannot take care of themselves. I believe they truly believe their "no one goes hungry," slogan, however, if it were true, then if you're unable to pay, they wouldn't discontinue your meals and let you go hungry. They would find away to make sure no one in this community goes hungry. When a senior is unable to afford and/or cook their own meals, why would you cut them off? Cruel.

TMM provides one or two meals a day, weekend meals available, short- and long-term service, NO age restrictions, and reasonable rates. A nominal fee is charged for meals. This place has been around forever in my little town and I have attended many events here over the…read moreyears as you can rent the hall for just about any small to medium sized events such as graduation parties, birthday parties, fundraisers, etc. It's been around as long as I can remember and you'll noticed it's dated however not so much as to steer you to not want to have an event here. Is always clean and plenty of room. The big plus is that you have full use of a large kitchen should you need this amenity. Bathrooms are small and dated but otherwise functional. Parking is ample and if needed, there is a lot across the street however this means crossing a 4-lane road which I know is not ideal but an option nevertheless. I don't believe you have to be a member of the Knights of Columbus to rent this space but I'm not 100% certain. In summary, this is decent little spot to rent and have your event for an evening.
