I've worked with many contractors over the years--some good, some not so much. However, today I had the opportunity to work with Giordano's Excavation (owned by Frank), and it was easily the best experience I've ever had. Frank came out to do some excavating so I could install a shed. Partway through, we encountered a hidden tree stump buried deep underground. Removing stumps wasn't part of our agreement, but without hesitation, he used his equipment to remove it anyway. That kind of extra effort really made a difference. Additionally, a few other small jobs arose, and even though he was booked, Frank managed to accommodate them for me. He's honest, very friendly, and his prices are more than fair.
