Having spent a weekend earlier in the year in Stratford neither was I keen about some of the prices that the downtown restaurants like to charge. Pazzo Taverna and Pizzeria seemed to be the answer. At 6PM we actually were able to book a 7:30 table. The room was still busy when we arrived and there was a small crowd waiting but we were seated quickly with menus. The bill of fare is pretty much limited to salads, a couple of appetizer choices, a variety of pizzas, and a handful of pasta dishes. Still, a Marco Polo pizza (roast chicken, sun dried tomatoes, feta, & basil) for me and Spaghetti & Meatballs for my spouse suited our dining preferences. My spouse had a glass of a Spanish Red with her meal, I was satisfied with just water. We were impressed that everything on their wine list was available by the glass as well as by the bottle. Also, we got some satisfaction to see Canadian, Italian, and other countries' wines with one particular exception. (As for that, take your annexation threats and stuff it where you're storing all the Bourbon that isn't crossing the border either.) For my wife's spaghetti, the pasta was fresh and the meatballs plentiful. As for my pizza, I found it flavourful with fresh Basil and the crust was thin and crisp. Portion sizes were more and sufficient as we both had something to take away. Service was quick and cheerful. The room cleared out quickly as we expect a lot of tables were headed for an evening curtain. Still, there seem to be a lot of hard surfaces and it can get a bit loud, it did get a lot better once more tables departed. While not cheap we felt we received value for money, especially compared to some of the other nearby establishments. We'll still go there but from time to time it's nice not to have to fork over 3-digits on a dinner for two.

Service: 4 Food: 3 We ordered the burrata which was pretty good though it was more gritty that smooth inside like the ones I've had at some other places. We had two pizzas and their toppings were great, but I prefer a more light/airy crust. This one was quite hard and on the chewy side. The kale salad was delicious and the best out of the 3 .

Four of us shared one of the $15 wood fired pizzas. We each had 2 slices. Thin crust, tasty and just right for a snack. Thumbs up for that! I wish we could be as positive about the beers. One of our group had the wheat beer that was brewed on site and liked it. Two of us shared a flight that included a stout, amber ale, kombucha and cider. I honestly can't recall which were brewed by Jobsite, but I think the amber and stout were. Neither was great. The amber was too bitter for my taste. The kombucha was just plain nasty. We all agreed, even the person who brews for a hobby said she's had much better kombucha at her beer club. The cider was the clear winner, but it was rather tasteless. It needed more fruit or something. So, while it's good to have an alternative to Black Swan in town, I hope the brewers here get better product soon. I'd go back for the pizza, but not for the beer.

If I could zero stars I would. Abysmal! For a few years now,…read morewhen we've ordered BP, I'm always irritated with myself for paying on average $50 per person for PASTA. And the small GF pizza is a joke. $30 for more a personal pizza size than a true small. Cheap food at exorbitant prices. This last experience at this location was the final straw. I will NEVER go back. Terrible! This was my last day of my Kingston birthday trip and I decided to treat myself to one more dinner out. I stopped in Stratford for groceries and decided to order for the BP. I was a bit aggravated when I went in saw two servers working at the bar near the food pick up area. One ignored me entirely just standing there chatting with a customer, while the other was carrying a glass rack and putting it away at the bar. She said she would be with me in a minute and instead of just handing me my order she went back to the kitchen and got another rack and put that away, then proceeded to pour drinks at the bar. I counted to ten and kept my patience, although I was tired from the drive and hungry and wanted to go home. Drive the 30 minutes home. I should've checked the food. I don't know why I don't these days after some experiences we've had, and we live in a rural area and have to drive long distances when we order in. I ordered the garlic parmesan fries and the gluten free pasta with EXTRA sauce, baked with cheese with italian sausage, green peppers and onions. When I got home I was enraged. The pasta was somehow mushy and dry at the same time. It had been cooked to death. But not only was there not extra sauce, there was NO sauce. Whatsoever. No cheese. I counted THREE pieces of sausage. I tried to take a bite but it was disgusting. I wish I'd taken a picture, but I was so furious for paying $50 for such garbage, the pasta went right into the garbage. What was worse was the way they handled it. I called and spoke to some guy working there named Ayyappin. I told him there was no sauce on my pasta whatsoever and that it hadn't been baked with cheese. It's almost like he didn't know what to do. I'll admit I was very angry. To pay so much and get garbage and no way to run back to fix it, not that I think anyone should have to go back for a mistake that isn't theirs. I told him I wanted a refund and he said they couldn't do that. I said I'd never eat there again and hung up. After a couple of minutes, I said to myself, no this isn't right. I called back and got the same guy and asked for the number to the head office. He wouldn't give it to me but hastily said he would refund the pasta. I said I would pay for the fries, but just wanted that and that it had gone in the garbage. He said he would refund it back to my card. He didn't call back. I checked the next day and no refund or credit. I called and got the manager. He apologized at least and wanted me to come back to the restaurant and they would give me cash back. I explained I live a half hour away. He told me they would mail me cash back and took my address. That was on June 25th. It is now July 6th and I've seen nothing. I will end up contacting head office. The fries were subpar too. When you go to Wild Wings, the gar par fries have that delicious sauce. These are just dry with some kind of herb on them. No sauce. No flavour. I tasted neither gar nor par. I'm done with BP. Subpar food that is overpriced and customer service is non-existent. I will NEVER give them my business or $ ever again!
