When I was not here, I was uneducated, but now, I can say that I am somewhat educated. The teachers inform me of class stuff. The staff works and gets paid. If they didn't get paid, they would probably find another job, perhaps at another school. This is a school.

I was not in favor of that; nor was he. No longer having bus transportation, we drive him everyday so he can continue his education at Calaveras. The principal, Christine White and Resource Coordinator, Andy Parra are excellent; extremely helpful and very approachable. All Calaveras staff; office, lunch, maintenance, etc. are stellar; and the teachers, well, I can't praise them enough; all have been excellent. My daughter just graduated from 8th grade at Calaveras and my son is attending the Achievement Academy this year and loving it. I wouldn't change anything. Thank you CALAVERAS.

Miss Kaelie is an especially kind and passionate teacher who truly uplifts her students and helps bring out their potential. Our daughter has learned so much this year and has absolutely blossomed both academically and emotionally. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the teachers in this classroom. The values this school holds kids to are something that is missing from other schools in the area. They have a zero tolerance level and I am thankful for that. The communication between parent and teacher is outstanding. If there were any issues with my kids I received an email or phone call right away. Teachers recognized when my boys were struggling in ELA and offered to place in an after school tutoring program to work on their weaknesses. All the teachers are amazing and I would recommend this school to all. I feel so lucky my kids were able to attend school here.

Just recently when I wouldn't just accept that they railroaded me with a surprise meeting in which they talked about how they can't handle my son right in front of him, they decided to take it even father. I won't go in to specifics, but unless you want to comply with their ridiculous standards for looks, not for academics, be prepared to have your whole world changed. These people have done nothing but judge me and my son and it's wrong. I can't wait to be done with this school. My son's teacher went on maternity leave early on and the woman that subbed for her was just incompetent and I feel as though she's partially why my son is now academically stunted. She wasn't sending home more than 2 sheets of homework and didn't know how to properly discipline my son and another boy who don't get along. My son has picked up on the fact that if he's disruptive, they'll send him to the office and he takes advantage of it because they talk and laugh and joke with him which he loves. I'm just really sick of the fake, catty, judgemental stuff and hope the end of the year comes quickly.

I spent 5 years getting my AA I left which 80 units and luckily my four year university took all of them and applied it to my bachelors degree. But the second I changed my order to tenders and fries, his entire mood flipped and suddenly he could do his job. Literally everyone else on campus is just eating sushi, Chinese food, or Mexican food from the other vendors because dealing with him is such a joke. Then this morning, my friend ordered a breakfast burrito from the same guy and got the exact same lazy, dismissive vibe even though the school literally advertises ALL DAY breakfast and lunch. Even when I just walk by the grill to grab a snack, he just stands there giving me an unwelcoming glare. It honestly feels like he's just trying to force everyone to use the online ordering website so he doesn't have to deal with people face to face. But the website tacks on so many extra service fees, card taxes, and customization charges that it's not even worth it. Plus, he doesn't even tell anyone they are supposed to use the website, so how the hell are we supposed to know how to order if he doesn't say anything and just refuses service at the register? If you want us to use the site, just say that professionally instead of flat out refusing to serve students. At this point, I'm completely done trying to get food from him. I'm just going to stick to the campus sushi or go hit up the taco vendor instead. The food at the grill is fine, but dealing with that gatekeeping attitude just to get a standard lunch isn't worth the headache. I have even stood in line and watched him flat out refuse to make a tuna melt for the guy in front of me, talking to him incredibly rudely for absolutely no reason. It just proves that he is actively shutting down the hot grill menu because he doesn't want to do the work.

Our youngest is now in first grade, after having an amazing kindergarten experience at Stratford as well. The curriculum design is outstanding. The school places a strong emphasis on core academics and genuine teaching. As a parent, it was incredibly reassuring to see a school dedicated strictly to academic excellence and traditional core values, without being distracted by the non-academic social and gender topics that are increasingly prevalent in public schools today. It gave me great peace of mind. I also have to mention how beautiful the campus itself is. The building features gorgeous high ceilings and real wood floors. Unlike so many modern schools that can feel sterile and lifeless--almost like a hospital or an office building--Stratford has a warm, welcoming, and truly premium environment. It genuinely feels like a luxury, top-tier private school. My daughter needed some extra support in math, and her 5th-grade teacher, Ms. Hannah, was a blessing. She was incredibly patient and took the time to help my daughter step-by-step, not just in math but across all subjects. Because of this, my daughter felt comfortable, confident, and loved learning in her class. She also made great friends and got along wonderfully with her classmates. The administration and staff are phenomenal. When we had to make a very last-minute transition to Stratford in 2025 after the school year had already started, Ms. Andrea from the admin team quickly and efficiently handled our enrollment, making a stressful situation so much easier. We also had wonderful experiences with other amazing teachers, like Ms. Ashley and Ms. Patricia. A special shoutout to Stratford's unique Music Class! The music program is fantastic, and the music teacher is exceptional. Our whole family, especially my husband and my mother-in-law absolutely loved the winter and spring programs the school put together. I firmly believe music education is vital at any age, and as a parent, I am so grateful that Stratford is willing to invest so much in the arts. I also want to highlight the school's special after-school Chinese club. My daughter and her classmates had so much fun learning there! It is a wonderful and unique program that you simply won't find at any other school in Morgan Hill. Finally, I want to specifically commend the principal, Ms. Violet. Her management style and the way she leads the school gave me so much confidence. I felt completely secure having my child here. My only regret is that we didn't move her to this school sooner!
