Fast talker. Took 4 attempts to fix a leak in my roof, but it is leaking again. He conned me into…read moreredoing the edge of my roof saying it was done incorrectly , It probably didn't need done. Did not use materials needed for a quality job. Did not use sealant or fasten down edging. My roof is green, and he used silver (silver is cheaper) on the edges. It looks awful! Took advantage of a single woman who just wanted her leak fixed. I wish I could attach pictures to my review. They even left the old materials where they fell behind my house for me to dispose of. He does not do the gutters. He hires another company to do that and I was happy with the job they did.

My husband & I helped my elderly mother select a roofing company to replace her hail-damaged roof…read more Clint Schmidt dba Aim-1 Seamless Gutters & Roofing and my husband went over every aspect of the agreement & finalized the contract. As agreed, my mother paid 1/2 of the total on Friday (with work scheduled to begin on Monday), and understood that the materials would be delivered on Saturday or Sunday (no materials were delivered on either day). On Monday morning of the job start, my mother received a call before 8 am from Clint requesting an additional progress payment toward the job, this time to the building supply store. This very much concerned us, but after much debate amongst ourselves, we decided to make the payment, keeping in mind that it was expected to be a one day job completion, and that Clint had told us that he had been hacked and that his accounts had been compromised and limited his ability to conduct business (including a limit on accepting credit card payments). My mother paid for the shingles via credit card over the phone to the building supply store. The roof was installed by the subcontractors that same day, but some other repairs were not finished that day. Clint was paid for the roofing work that had been completed, but a small monetary amount was held back for the other repairs. He returned a couple of days later and began working on a soffit near the garage (which was to be repaired per contract, using Hardie material), as well as a porch ceiling repair. After a period of two or three days, Clint claimed to have finished all of the work, and, although it was after dark, but particularly upon verification from Clint, (reasoning that he was the owner of the company & that the highest quality assurance should be expected to be provided to the general public), my mom paid him the small remaining balance on the contract. She later was able to see the garage soffit work in the daylight and told me that it didn't look very good. When I was able to see it for myself, I saw that it had not been repaired with Hardie material per our agreement. The soffit vent was unfinished and had been "repaired" using what looked like a roll of plastic mesh for gutters (which was mostly uneven), held in place by erratically placed staples from a staple gun. Additionally, paint had been spilled on the concrete under the back porch ceiling repair, and although acetone was used in an effort to clean up the spill, a 2 ft diameter stain is still left on the concrete along with several adjacent paint splatters. Repair materials were also left on site and not cleaned up. Multiple attempts (via calls and texts) to discuss the situation w Clint have either been ignored or met with comments such as that he would come by the house "in 7 minutes" (he did not), "I'm coming over on x day" (he did not), "I'll send the required insurance closeout pics on x day" (he has not). It does not make us happy to post this review, but we think others should be aware of problems they might encounter if they use Clint Schmidt dba Aim-1 Seamless Gutters & Roofing. Contractors hold themselves out as professionals and should provide quality services to the general public, but the health, safety, welfare of the public should be protected while they perform their work. The public must be protected from unqualified, incompetent, and unethical contractors. Thank you.

He said that his work is quality and that my expectations were too professional. He did not feel that he could finish the job and walked off the job with my money. Had to hire a new contractor to repair the damages caused by Roland's "not very professional" Painting. Sued and now have an active judgment against both Mike and Patches Roland in Walker County. This guy is a crook and can not be trusted to do a quality job.

This is a sorry ass piece of shit! My wife ( who I could choke) hired this guy for exterior…read morepainting and gave him a $660 dollar check. It took forever for him to get started, did only half assed work, and was applying primer over already peeling paint. I called him to express my concerns with his work, and that the peeling paint needed to come off entirely. He responded with surprise, and said that it wouldn't come off when he was there, and maybe he needed a specially formulated primer blah blah blah.... He didn't do anything but talk a bunch horse shit to somebody that knows better. After his suggested actions, I told him I no longer wanted him on the job, and that I wanted the deposit back, less $120 for what very little work he had done. He said ok, well, I'll just come and get my ladders ( which were not sufficient for the job, and I have no idea how the hell he was going to reach the top unless he planning to stand on top of the pile of bullshit he conjured up) and get the $120 dollars from your wife. I said no, we will not pay you another dime, but that he was to take the $120 out of the deposit and return the rest. He said that $120 wasn't fair, and that he would have to review his construction agreement (what agreement I have no idea, as my wife only received a receipt for the deposit) and that he would let us know. I know my deposit is gone, but as a warning to all others this guy is exactly what's been said on this forum. He's a thief, a crook, lying ass son of a bitch, and a horrible waste of oxygen. DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!
