I chose to become a member because I wanted to play more than once a week, and being a member was a better deal in that scenario. -- Downtown just off Washington (301) about one block south of Ringling Blvd. -- 12 outdoor Har-tru Green Clay courts. -- Has a parking lot. -- Open til 9pm Mon-Thurs. Til 730 Fri, and 430 Sat-Sun. (As of Summer 2014.) I have interacted with 4 different staff persons, multiple times each, and they have all been very friendly and helpful. Which matters quite a bit to me. There are clinics / group classes / round robins on different evenings and afternoons throughout the week. Prices vary. Occasional free events. There are also leagues that you can join that seem very reasonable ($5 per match?) and, again, open to non-members. Courts are very well-maintained. I assume some tax dollars go to this park so why not take advantage of what you have already helped pay for? At least they are doing a great job with the money! You can enter the tennis courts only through the building at Adams Ln. (Look for the County Law Library lettering on the corner on the bldg. Entrance to tennis is at the opposite corner of the same bldg. Hard to describe exactly.) The adjacent Payne Park has walkways, ponds, a playground, and a skatepark. It's my first ATP Challenger tour; Jack Sock is the only player I know - he lost to another American Boyer in the three set. It's a small and intimate tournament. Music blasting in the background. The portable bathrooms are a notch up from the porta potty. Parking seems enough for the event.

His private coach Mark was outstanding, the PlaySight system for drills was very engaging in the immediacy of feedback on every ball hit, and Nick Bolleteri had a visible presence and engagement with the teens. Our son has great coaches back home and we feel that there is much we can take back home to add to that instruction. It is not inexpensive, but when we consider how many hours of high quality instruction our son received, it is more than worth it.

They offer combination lockers for daily use. They offer many classes included in membership like pilates, yoga, high intensity workouts, water aerobics, etc. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. I've been a member for a year and a half now, and still trying to find the best time to go, when it isn't so crowded. The personal trainers don't work on weekends, so generally fewer people there on weekends. When the snowbirds are in town, obviously more crowded. I guess my only real complaint is with some of the other members and basic gym etiquette. Some folks simply don't wipe down the equipment after use, and some folks will hang out resting on a machine or looking at their phone for what seems like a long time while others are waiting for that equipment.

With membership you can rent automatic tennis ball machine for $15/hour or $250/year gives you access to the machine anytime you want! With membership you can reserve tennis court time one per day (some limits apply to reserving time more than once per day but it is a possibility). Tip: if you want EARLY court time - reserve 3 days in advance. Afternoon time is readily available. Athletic membership include towel service. I ended up buying one racquet and returned to NYC. After playing with it I had a problem and they were so gracious in allowing me to return the racquet to see if they could correct the problem, which they did and shipped it back to me at no charge. With the struggles small businesses are facing due to COVID it's so important to support businesses that look out for their customers. Numerous times I called the desk before leaving home to make sure there was a class. Despite assurances the class was often cancelled! The management either lies or is rude to your face and really doesn't seem to care at all that many people are leaving, both members and employees The high turnover should tell them something. I can only guess that they want the place to go belly up so they can sell the land for a real estate development but they certainly don't seem to want to run an efficient or even welcoming fitness club When I terminated my membership the desk person just handed me a copy of the form without a word or question as to why I was leaving Save your money and run in the opposite direction from this club

I regularly go to play on his beautifully maintained clay court to work out or fine-tune my game. It has been helpful for me, a 60+ 4 - 4.5 player, as it has been for all types of players. I know Kris works quite a bit with beginners , and has had impressive results with juniors. And if you are in need of a partner for whatever reason or someone to complete a doubles, he is always only to happy to oblige. All in all, this is this is an address worth remembering.....it surely will come in handy.
