Located at 452 3rd Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205...(between Business US 41 and South Tamiami Trail) you will find a downtown Bradenton's showpiece, Bradenton's Riverwalk (known locally as the Riverwalk)  is an outdoor gathering place, where you can enjoy an AMAZING botanical walk or jog overlooking the Manatee River. The Riverwalk is approximately 1.5-mile with many features including a Mosaic Amphitheater,  a very colorful kids splash pad fountain and playgrounds, a riverfront skatepark, sand Beach Volleyball courts, a Day Dock for boaters, and a Fishing Pier where you can find a variety of fish like snook, redfish, and trout.   The riverwalk is open 24 hours, ADA-accessible and Pet-Friendly.   On this trip I did spot a couple of dolphins    Again, with a skatepark, outdoor amphitheater, sand volleyball court, fishing pier, day dock, kayak launch, tidal zone, botanical walkway and outdoor living rooms for lounging, this Riverwalk truly has something for everyone... Highly recommended

    Unbeatable views!

I love this area. There's so much to see and do . I walked from one end to the other. Started at the marina by pier 22 where the gorgeous yachts are docked and meandered down, under the bridge and to the other side. There's a workout area, a nature conservatory area, a kids play park, a skate park, volleyball courts, numerous artistic sites among the way (sculptures and whatnot) and at the far end sits caddy's where you can have a cold drink and lunch before you walk back. It's about 3 miles end to end. Makes a great day trip!

One of my favorite Bradenton walking ovations. Beautifully situated in downtown Bradenton it's an ideal location for a walk or run. Exercise equipment is available at the end of the walk so you can get in a little toning time too! If you are looking for a place to take the kids look no further. The Riverwalk includes a well equipped playground, volleyball court, and skatepark. The public library is located on the opposite side of the street so, make an afternoon of the area! If you are looking for a place to just unwind, grab a seat on one benches and enjoy the view of water, the pelicans hunting, and blue skies. There are lots of restaurants in the area. We often grab dinner and take an evening stroll. Yesterday, I arrived to find the area beautifully decked out for the holidays. That was a nice surprise. All of this free and available to the public. Parking in the Immediate area can be difficult, but free public parking garage is close by.

This was definitely a great way to get my exercise in after my dinner and ice cream treat. This walk offers a safe way to walk along the rivers edge and see some great views. I went at night so some of my views were restricted but overall it was a great experience. There are great pieces of art to look at, sculptures, a pier, a walking dock, benches, covered swings and a playground for children to play in. The playground was very large, clean, a variety of sets that included a jungle gym, swings, fountain, large grass field and lots of fun!! There is plenty of lightening and people to dream it safe in my eyes. While sitting for a few moments I got to enjoy the river breeze, joggers, rollerbladers, bikers, dogs being walked ( pet friendly ) and also an out door stage area where it looked like plays or entertainment could be found. There was also a firefighters memorial at the end of my walk that shows great respect for the men and women that serve. I was blessed to have experienced RiverWalk and would revisit during the day if ever back in town. There are plenty of restaurants also around this area in a walking distance. I didn't notice any in the actual Riverwalk. But just a hop skip and a jump away you'll find a great selections of restaurants to choose from. The Walk and Playground Area are also FREE.

A great place to take a walk along the Bradenton water side. Along the way you will find sand volleyball courts, nice benches for enjoying the day, kids playground, skatepark, beautiful views and more! I definitely recommend it with or without kids. My kids especially love the water fountains you can play in at the kids park.

Stopped by the Riverwalk on a vacation with my kids. The Riverwalk is nice. The kids loved the "outdoor living room" and found the cement lounge chairs cool. The park is very modern and accommodates kids of various ages- no traditional swings or monkey bars, but still enjoyable. The water sprinklers adds a little fun to the experience. Additionally, if you lucky enough to just be able to sit back and enjoy the ambiance while the kids play, seating is pretty plentiful. Free and a great way to spend a couple hours in the outdoors.

There is a stage area right next to the Riverwalk for concerts and events.

We really loved the Bradenton Riverwalk. We have been out this way so many times, and finally checked it out. There was so much to see or do that they organized it nicely with pretty directional signs. The playground was huge, and well as a nice grassy area for a picnic. They had a skateboard park, and tons of areas to ref your feet. There were pretty views of the water all around. This is a perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy the outdoors. Bring your bike, skateboard, rollerblades, or just walk or run. Whatever makes you happy, you will also see it here. Parking was very easy as well!

I love Payne Park…read more I do NOT like too many of the people that use it. Recently, the number of unsupervised kids that are riding their bikes, scooters, and electric do dads are inconsiderate with their use of the sidewalks, their total lack of attention to their surroundings and other people. These kids need more adult supervision and parents need to take more time teaching them manners. I also am taking exception to the growing number of pet owners that think THEIR dogs don't need to be properly trained, leashed, or picked up after. The 5 O'Clock group of owners that let their dogs off theie leads and let them just take over a section of the park is non-sense. Read the signs. That is not acceptable. On several occasions, while just walking I have been run up on by dogs showing their teeth. I stop, sayd nice doggy and then move on. But some day, if I do get bit by one of these unruly monsters, their entiled owners will owe me money they haven't even made yet. I would like to see more of a park police presence for a while to get the kids and dog owners back to being decent people. And to the people that are feeding the ducks and squirrels, STOP. Read the signs. You aren't doing the wildlife any favors by feeding them and you aren't doing the other people that use the park any favors either. Payne Park is beautiful; a great place to enjoy the out of doors and the wonderful weather in Sarasota. Kids and Pet owners don't have the right to ruin the experience for everyone else. Oh, and teenagers, we know you are smoking pot there. Move away from the popular walking areas. Your weed smell like skunk butt.

I kept walking, almost in a trance, toward the point where the Gulf meets the sky, and for the first time in a long time, my mind wasn't racing. I wasn't thinking about tomorrow or yesterday.
