Stéphane, of Voltcom, was thorough and knowledgeable and identified serious electical problems I did not know I had. He fixed them and explained the situation to me in ways I could understand. I had equipment the condo company had installed and never explained to me. Also, I had my ringer turned off and he called me several times and waited in front of my place! Maybe they were good back in their day...maybe not but I can tell you 1 star is being generous…read morehere. We got a quote about a year ago for a full electrical job in a house and was led to believe it would be no issue. Fast forward to when it came time to do the work and it took weeks for anyone to even come out to look at the job. When they did come out, we were told that they'd be right up and it shouldn't be too long to get the job done. The following week we saw the guy once...one full day and was told he'd be back the following business day. Nope. No call, no show and couldn't reach anyone at the two numbers provided. Finally got someone and they said they may be able to be out the following day but that's the "best that they could do". They ended up showing up that afternoon after I told them we had other contractors there and there was an issue with one of their outlets being put in a poor location. Two people showed up that day and did a few hours of work with the plan to be back the next day. One of the two was on his phone the whole time. It's now been over a month...we have two outlets...two...and a couple breakers put into the box. That is it. Multiple issues arose when the heating company came to finish their part and Gene's was still unavailable to even return their call. Come to find out nothing was grounded and wires were not safely placed according to code. We called to discontinue their services... but don't worry...we got the bill for what they kinda did the very next business day. It's highly disappointing trying to give local businesses your business and having them spit in your face.

Ive have hired Gene's electric many times over the years to do electrical work at our home and our…read morerental property. They are on time and efficient. I had a disagreement with a bill one time, and they fixed it right away. Im a bit picky so I will throw in my opinion that I feel that the electrician should clean up before he leaves, take his scrapes with him (would be nice) other than that they are terrific!
