We met friends here for breakfast this morning - it's the hottest spot in town. They were turning…read moretables pretty quickly and we only had to wait 30 mins for a party of 4. You must get Swedish pancakes here- yummmm!! Hubs opted for the Swedish meatballs as his breakfast meat and said they were amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and I am now officially addicted to the potatoes. They were perfectly spiced and served piping hot. Service was friendly and efficient- it would have to be in such a popular spot. They also have a little store onsite and I found some Door county cherry pie filling for my daughter (large mason jar $12.95). They also had many Swedish gifts and such- so it's a good way to spend your wait time for your table. Our breakfast total was ~$37 before tip. Don't forget to see if the goats are 'mowing' the roof before you go!!

You can also learn how to milk a goat. There are so many animals here -- horses, ponies, rabbits, peacocks, cows, ducks, chickens, doves, and of course the goats and cats. It's a beautiful (and fragrant) sight! There were so many butterflies and bees visiting all the flowers at our visit, that I took probably too much time trying to take the perfect photograph. There is a gazebo and benches amongst the lavender plants if you choose to relax out there, otherwise, there is a patio just outside the shop to relax on and enjoy your purchases. The shop is a cozy place with lavender EVERYTHING! Books, oils, sachets, perfume, soap, dried flower bunches, small dishes, pressed flowers, candles, jewelry..... There is a small counter area where you can purchase food and beverages, most of it lavender infused. I picked up a few caramels, and my husband bought me a lavender wine slushie. I am by no means a wine drinker, but this thing was delicious! The ladies inside the shop are very friendly and knowledgeable, and can give you recommendations on which kind of lavender plants to purchase when you get home (I don't think they sell plants there). The grounds are small, with a gazebo and a few photo spots, but surprisingly, there was little lavender scent in the air. Bathrooms are only accessible after paying admission. The gift shop and coffee counter were cute, but overall, the $5 entry felt underwhelming compared to other lavender fields in other states and countries.

This little gift barn holds a lot more than one might expect. They have a variety of items, like…read moresweatshirts and t-shirts, mugs, some children's items, and so on. Not a bad place to find a gift or souvenir whilst in Door County. It's well situated as well for folks hopping on or off the ferry. Since we'd done a fair amount of shopping already I opted not to buy anything here, but I did consider a sweatshirt or two.
