DC Tree truly did an outstanding job of taking down a very large dead hemlock with missing bark and…read morea companion hemlock in the middle of a heavily forest environment. Instead of using large machinery like a bucket truck or crane they came up with an inventive method where an arborist (about five arborists were present for the job), climbed to the top of a neighbouring tree with a long rope and tied it to the trunk at the top. He then came down that tree and climbed the target tree with the rope in hand which would save him should the target tree fall under him. With his safety secure, he cut the target tree in sections that fell safely compactly and cleanly to the ground below. Very safe and economical. All of this took only about three hours! DC Tree has $5 million of liability insurance, is an Accredited Better Business Bureau member with an A+ rating and had the lowest estimate of the five short listed candidates, less than half of the highest estimate! They truly earned their A+ on this job! And I forgot to mention. They also totally leaf blowed not only the work area, but the entire long steep driveway and front porch of the house until the entire place just sparkled!
