The harbour authority has two wharves outside the breakwater, one primarily for commercial vessels, and the inshore for pleasure craft. Both are only ideal for day use, as privacy is non existent, and your boat will take a buffeting from the weather, or the wakes from other vessels.
Inside the breakwater, the Authority maintains linear transient space, which I've found to be perfectly adequate.
No gate, but the threat level is a tiny fraction of Vancouver's, so you should be safe. This is not to say that you don't have to go to any effort to safeguard yourself and your boat, however.
Standard hookups, coin operated showers and laundry next to the office. Fuel barge at the Gibsons Marina, and a takeaway on the wharf (Smoke on the Water).
Ample garbage service.
No groceries nearby, so you'll be living on Molly's burgers. A liquor store at Grandma's Pub, but avoid its restaurant.
There's a bar at the entrance to Gibsons, and watch the port hand marker when over the bar.
Plumper Cove is minutes away, but not a desirable stop in high season.
Friendly staff as well. read more
