I was really excited to see inside this house in my neighborhood. It looked so cool from the…read moreoutside. Open house last Sunday so I went in and am still scratching my head at what I saw. The powder room in this 5000 sft house is so tiny you have to stand up against the wall and the sink to close the door. My couch is larger than the bathroom guests would use. No exaggeration. Lots of other weird features. Kitchen opens into living space and dining room is behind the wall and around the corner. Don't forget the salt and pepper or your meal will be ice cold. I love modern architecture and there was something so pretentious and just off about this house. I've owned 4 houses in boulder over 30+ years so I make pretty good guesses to price. Guessed this was $3,000,000 given the location, that half the square footage is basement, lack of outdoor entertainment space, windowless bunker rooms in the basement, etc. But no, it's 4.5 mill. And the realtor told me the tiny powder room was the way they do it in Europe. Maybe she has never been to Europe, I dunno.
