The area is always bustling since it's close to Rue Montorgueil. The church is quite epic looking that towers over the garden and people are always in the park even in winter snacking and chatting with their friends/families.

He then led us in, cutting that looooong line of people who arrived by bus. We visited the Gardens first ( beautiful gardens, the old hunting areas...) then led us through the chateau. The crowd is unbelievable, but they made us move along, stopping at the rooms to hear the description. It's so amazing. Then back to the van, and we visited the Grand Trianon, then the Petit Trianon. Here they don't allow the private guides, so we visited on our own. The gardens here are beautiful with flowers and lilac trees and cherry blossoms trees. Then back in the van and back to Paris. The visit lasted about 5-6 hours and we got to see sooo much.

The Palace of Versailles, is an iconic 17th-century French Baroque masterpiece. You cannot imagine…read morethe beauty and size of Versailles if not in person. We opted to hire a tour guide and I am so happy we did. There is so much to learn about this amazing lace but also, it gets extremely crowded here and to get the full depth of the history and get through this huge maze of a castle you need a guide. With that being said if you do not hire a guide there are two tickets you need to purchase, one for the inside of the tour and one for the gardens. Buy both tickets. Also ensure you get there early because the grounds are massive and there are so much to see and buy your ticket prior to arrival. This is definitely a must see when in Paris for sure !

This park features everything from the Eiffel Tower, arc de triomphe, Notre Dame, to the various Chateau's (Castles) in France. I believe there was about 80-100 Miniature models all numbered in which you cna follow a path from beginning to end. This park has a few dining areas, restrooms, and and several fun rides that are self operated. If you have extra time in addition with visiting the larger scale landmarks in France, I definitely recommend France Miniature.

There are covered areas and many benches for the parents to sit and watch. There are also restrooms in the back and a small cafe area at the entrance. Why only 3 stars instead of 4? I give the playground 4 stars, however the fact that you must pay seemed a little unusual. I could even maybe understand if you paid by the number of kids, but you must pay for adults too. I think it may have been 2.50 per child and 1.25 for each adult.

But on a recent Sunday this park checked every single one of our boxes, providing a chill place to spread out, picnic and frolic without the hustle and body-to-body bustle of the Parisian parks on a rare summer day. Located around 20 minutes outside of the city by car or train, it's enough of a jaunt to make the excursion exciting without all of the hassle of a long-distance trip. Tucked away off of the quai, there are no signs indicating where it's located which makes it even more of a hidden, insider address (tip: Apple maps doesn't have the location mapped so use Google maps to find it). The grounds are perfectly maintained and consist of large open grass where you can spread out, picnic, play ball, and sun bathe (attention: everyone needs to keep their shirts on and there's a guard that goes around enforcing the rule). There are loads of weeping willow trees where you can get some shade while listening to the sounds of the fountains in the duck-filled ponds nearby. There's also a geyser at the entrance where you can cool down under the water and for the kiddies, there are also a couple of playgrounds and even an enclosed aviary where you can watch birds roam around. Sounds pretty fantastic, no?

Benches dot the perimeter if sitting on grass sounds like a nightmare (it would be if I didn't have my trusty travel blanket with me.) The dirt areas combined with no colorful flowers in bloom make the park feel somewhat drab. Some nuisances to contend with: bees (so many bees) & aggressive peddlers of everything from alcohol to cheap souvenirs. Though there are far prettier parks in Paris, having the iconic structure seemingly within reach is the draw here. Check it out once; it is worth being on your Paris itinerary, especially if it's your first time here.
