Even with a pre-existing appointment, the wait times are over 45 minutes with no end in sight. I actually left yesterday with my dogs not being seen. You are made to wait outside in the heat or in the cold. Sitting in the car for that amount of time is impractical. My dogs, one of which is a senior, become very anxious. The staff claims it's because of emergencies that day. However, I recently was "the emergency," but was still made to wait outside in the heat for over 1 1/2 hours. Very disrespectful to the clients' time. When I question the staff how much longer it will be, the responses and tone from the assistants are not friendly. The office is too crowded and disorganized. People and pets all over the place. It's a shame that a doctor with his expertise does not oversee his office better. It reflects back on to him. I'm moving my pets to another veterinary practice.

Yeah, boarding your precious doggies sucks but happens sometimes ie when you're away for work trips…read moreor on vacay etc. I have friends who have used Wags for years, and this place is reliable and reasonably priced for my two adult medium and large sized adult dogs. Currently I live in the South, and plan to visit family on LI for the holiday weekend. I was so happy to learn that Wags and Peter are still around! Wags is out in the middle of LI in a country-like atmosphere (Ive been there out after a snowstorm and glad I had a Jeep). I see it as the Holiday Inn for dogs--there are times when they have stayed at an ultra luxury pet resort as well, and Bud, my 90lb mush, has separation anxiety, whether he's at the Kimpton or the Red Roof Inn of dog boarding places. The difference I think is that some of the ultra expensive places may spend 10 minutes saying hi to your dog in a windowless but well-lit room and if you pay extra will walk yr dog on a leash for 5 minutes. I could see if you have a very young puppy this would be great short term but if its a very young puppy be a good Millenial parent and take responsibility. DONT dump your fur baby with strangers at such a young age, and later wonder why your fur child has socialization problems with you, jeez... But I digress--I worry about the lack of ventilation at some (not all) of those more expensive places with windowless rooms. Wags has an indoor/outdoor run area for each dog, and the shelter area is heated when its cold. They also have doggie daycare, I believe. I bring my dogs' durable pet bed and/or blankie, some toys that they'll probably rip into shreds anyway, and their food supply. I think some of the weird reviews on here reveal more about the dogs owners, and I know Wags boards dogs of all sizes and shapes lol. Give your dog some fresh country air, city people, even if its at a boarding kennel. Its good for your dog.
