I especially like that you can pre-scan the items in your cart to make check out quick and easy. Grab a scanner right inside the entry and tally things up as you go. It's a nice giant eagle. I think I was disappointed because the market district I previously went to had a food court and a sports in addition to the traditional salad bar. That place was amazing. This place is not that. But it's still a nice grocery store, well stocked. Staff is there when you need help. No ridiculous long lines. And it is aesthetically pleasing. Since it's a market district it has all the little foodie extras - unique items, higher quality cuts of meat and better cheese. Decent grocery store wine selection. If you want a woke dehumanized experience, this is your grocery store. 2023, cashiers still behind big pointless steal and plastic barriers. Reach around that to pay cash? Nope, there is a machine down by your knees to put cash in. That last $1 bill is wrinkled. Put it in four times or find a different bill. Not their problem. This Market district GE sells worst deviled eggs I've ever tasted in my life. And I'm old. I'd like to meet the person that makes them and just ask how in the world they make them,and then show them how to make a great tasting deviled egg. Came in here to get snacks. This place is great at getting you to buy things you don't need. -Great displays, in season, in stock, functional -Front is littered with plants- alive, healthy, already bearing fruit and flowers -Aisles all have sales on them for what's down that aisle Great selection of everything. I've been here and it's usually packed, and I don't like that they have a full bar, Starbucks, a cheese maker, a winery kind of thing, at least six counters for people to give fresh stuff (not just deli, but foods, all that). To me it means high prices for regular groceries so lazy people have decent prices on their quick junk- but prizes were very reasonable, and everything always looks good. I want to dislike this place, as I dislike this "style," but darn if they aren't doing a great job. The only thing stopping from a five star is the only employee I met in the entire store (aside from the front end) was a Starbucks employee. I know this because although she was wearing employee clothing, she couldn't help me because of that.... On the front end, the cashier left twice to go do something else. Really, dude? And what almost lost them another star was that I found a bracelet on the floor while bagging my groceries. I hand it to Houdini, and he tossed it on the register and walked away. If I or mine lost their bracelet, I'd expect whoever found it to respect it and get it to the lost and found ASAP. Really ticked me off...but they are doing a great job here otherwise. read more

What's not to love about this Giant Eagle. It has a bit of everything, I have to give excuses to the wife to make trips here. A place to have a "drink" if you're real thirsty, along with a tv to catch a game. A patio area, Starbucks, just a couple of the wonderful things here. We used to love going to the market having wings trying different beers but in the last two years the place has gone downhill. Went last night for wings and they were all out. Wing night 630 sold out of wings?. The bathrooms are unkept, table are usually filled with dirty dishes. Loved to Play trivia, the tall guy is a big cheater always walking out with his phone looking up answers and last night came up to the bar tender and asked for the answer, it gets fishy when every time the same family wins. This is my favorite giant eagle in Ohio! It's the nicest one I've been inside, and it's huge. There's a small food court that includes a Starbucks, a bar and a few other places. You can walk around with your beverages while you shop, which is fun! There's also a huge selection of beer and wine, and the associates are very knowledgeable. There's a fresh salad bar, olive bar, hot soups and fresh sushi. $5 sushi on wednesdays! The bulk section is wonderful for special ingredients, and the bakery is amazing! The florist is a bit pricy, but good if you need something quick. There's also a gelato counter in the back- I've never gotten any but it looks delicious. This giant eagle carries lots of specialty goods, and has so much variety, especially with organic, vegan and local products. Really like the new giant eagle! So many options and love the restaurant/bar/Starbucks area. The pizza is a great value and the specials are always pretty good. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it's location. It's located pretty far away. The old one was much easier to access.I may go to a closer option sometimes because of this, but if I am looking for specific items, they almost always have it. I went on my lunch break here and went up to the pre cooked food counter and proceeded to stand there for 10 minutes while there were two employees on both sides of the counter. They stood there and did not come assist me. So a African American employee walked from a different direction and told the gentleman at the counter that I was standing there and that he had a customer. He proceeded to turn and look my direction and shrugged his shoulders and continued doing what he was doing. I demanded to speak to a manager so the manager Kevin came out to see what my concern was and he turned to the gentleman and did absolutely nothing after I walked away so I ran into another manager higher up named Lisa and she also did nothing to this gentleman and let him continue to work after disrespecting a customer I walked away to find something else that I needed in the store and I walked back by the gentlemen and he laughed in my face as he continues to stay there and work. The New Giant Eagle at this location is certainly the jewel in the crown! For their Grand Opening this store went all out! Aside from the various promotional specials, this location is definitely the most spacious and elaborate Giant Eagle I have ever shopped at. If I had to focus on one specific reason why this store deserves a 5 Star Rating, it has to be their bakery! Not even the West Side Market in Downtown Cleveland offers a wider selection of freshly baked breads, pastries and cakes. The attendants throughout the store are helpful and friendly. My weekly grocery shopping will include a visit to this beautiful new Giant Eagle. The long wait has paid off; we now have the most elegant and best equipped Giant Eagle store within our driving area in any direction. BRAVO! read more

I have never written a negative review before, on any company, but I do have one for the Catering Service at the Strongsville. Store. Four weeks prior to ordering our son received a large Petite Sandwich platter and cheese platter from the West Lake Giant Eagle, They were awesome so I expected the same when I placed my order. I ordered two large Petite Sandwich trays, what a disappointment. The sandwiches were mostly cheese, with very little meat. I had two that were two slices of cheese and a very thin slice of turkey, which I found by opening the sandwich. Those my son got had several slices of meat in them, they were piled high with meats and little cheese. The same size cheese tray had the four corners, filled with crackers, cheese in the middle. Westlake's store had tray filled with cheese crackers given in two boxes. Old fashion cookie tray, which was to contain the small fancy cookies and some chocolate chip was filled around the rim with Chocolate chip cookie and large sugar cookies with colored sugars, the kind children love, not necessarily adults, Only two kinds of small, fancy cookies, not at all what I was told when I asked about the kinds of cookies we would receive.
