I have been having my prescriptions filled here for over ten years. Never a problem until last 60 days. Three times, send in refill request by phone, told it will be ready after 12;00 on a particular day. Travel to pick up usually late in the day -- not ready. Today, did not even have the refill request. This is unacceptable. Either fix your call in system or look at your operation (excuse: item didn't come in or haven't unpacked the order yet). Time to look for a new pharmacy who can refill in a timely manner and commit to have it ready when they say. Let me tell you all the truth about this giant eagle location. I have a friend that's in his fifties that has severe back pain but he still has to work. He worked there for 3 years in pain when they were busy he worked all the hours they gave him. When they were slow they put him down to one day but he stayed loyal because he liked working there. Then his supervisor on third shift stocking quit. They brought in another supervisor and then all the people started to quit. I told him time was up he needed to get out of there but he loved working there and he loved working that shift. He went in one night she laid into him giving him time tables. He told her it would be hard to do it and that he had a medical emergency that he needed to leave. He went back the next night he apologized and she told him he was suspended. She also said she didn't care about his illness So it went to corporate office they put him off for over a month. Then they told him he was fired. Then they told him he was rehired but to keep his job he had to sign a paper stating it was all his fault and that he would not have any claims against that company. So this is how this giant eagle on North Hamilton road takes care of their long time employees they dump on them. and they take a word from a woman who had only been there a week and half and she had already ran off most of the crew. So if y'all think this is a nice family place to shop at it's not. He has a handicap back and this is where they treated him. So he worked many nights in severe pain but he loved the job and he needed the job. They wanted him to sign that paper saying he released them for many claims or else. I have always been pleased with this pharmacy. They are my "go to pharmacy" when I need a prescription that isnt one of my usuals. But what I am writing about today are the COVID shots. We have had the 2 Pfizer's as well as the booster. Absolutely no reaction. Now that's not saying you won't get a sore arm or be tired. I am just saying that between us, hubby and I have had 6 covid shots and we had ABSOLUTELY NO REACTION with any of them. I feel much safer being vaccinated. read more

Hands down, Giant Eagle is the best place to grocery shop; mostly due to the fuel perks. Kroger can in no way compete with GE when it comes to cleanliness or the amount of fuel perks that it gives its customers. This past December, I fueled up for free!!- a full tank of gas for yes, $0.00 FYI, you can only fill up 1 car at a time, but the use of plastic gas cans can also be used to collect gas during the same trip. The pharmacy unfortunately does not have a drive thru and they are a bit slow. Most antibiotics are free, compared to local competitors so for antibiotics, I always have my script sent there. read more

Even after redesigning the store layout and moving the pharmacy over, there have been little efforts to reduce wait times. There is always a line to pick up prescriptions and there is always at least an hour wait after dropping one off. The staff are curteous, and not major medical mishaps, but overall lacking in providing quick and convenient service. Not sure if they even offer text alerts on automatic refills either. I recommend a smaller chain drug-store for quick turnaround, or even Target and Walgreens. However, Giant Eagle has one of the better government copay plans and offers 30-day and 90-day refills. This is even cheaper than running it through most insurance providers. read more
