With the heat, the music, and all the movement, those 50 minutes flew by but I definitely felt like I got a full-body workout. My core was working the entire time, and I left drenched in sweat but energized. I'm glad that there's some good athletic leisure shopping like Ron Dorf and Skims nearby because I was still feeling so sweaty after my workout that I bought a whole new outfit next door :D What I like most is that the studio feels nice and is definitely upscale but still super welcoming. It didn't feel intimidating at all, and the overall vibe made me want to come back. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the classes and the experience. Definitely recommend giving Hot Pilates a try if you want a workout that challenges you while still being fun. Plus, it's located in the nice Sunset Plaza area on Sunset Boulevard in WeHo, so there's always somewhere nearby to grab a smoothie or something healthy to eat afterwards.

I would recommend it for any age because I've seen so many people in classes and if the class decides to change it up she will. I couldn't recommend her enough. The next day I was the perfect amount of sore, whereas other studios/instructors I have been painfully sore the next day. First of all, the studio is located on the bottom floor of a private training gym called Fitness Factory. There is a parking lot, but unfortunately those who are going to Jenny Tate can't park in the lot. So, parking was a bit hard to find but I managed to find a metered street spot. Sucks that you have to pay for parking when you come take a class here! Guy was great, very friendly and helpful. He took the time to learn everyone's names and provided modifications for beginners and those with injuries. He wasn't judgmental like a lot of pilates instructors I've had in LA are. She understands the body and expertly guides you but will quickly pivot to another exercise if she sees you're form is incorrect so you don't get injured. I have learned so much in my personal Pilates practice as well as from an instructor standpoint. As someone who doesn't have the "traditional" Pilates background (I'm not a dancer, I come from sports and weightlifting), I've found that Bodyline is supportive and welcoming to all human experiences. The students are as diverse here as you'll experience anywhere. I've taken private lessons from Colette and am just starting group classes at the studio. It's great to be able to put in practice what you learn in class in the actual studio to reinforce concepts and get familiar with expected choreo and queues before the test-out. I've noticed such an improvement in my own practice, both inside and outside of Pilates, due to the personalized feedback I've gotten here and thorough information I've learned about corrections for lumbar lordodis and hip popping. I highly recommend checking out Bodyline if you're looking to take your practice to the next level!
