The streets are painted with murals from iconic people such as John Lennon and Mother Theresa, a pop art smoking sock monkey, dia de muertos and policital expressions. There is a sort of shrine set up with Mona Lisa in the middle. I saw something about a bark park, but not in the traditional sense, rather I believe the artist has three dogs that you might see. Every inch makes for some cool photographs. Every second you discover something else. It leaves you in admiration of such creativity. It totally reminded me of the Heidelberg Project in Detroit, but instead of an urban excape it is nesteled in an artist community winding through the mountains. It is a must see!!!

It's an old miner hippie town with lots of little quirky shops, restaurants and oddities. Bisbee is a day trip- maybe a weekend max. It's fairly small, so don't expect to spend a week here as you will run out of things to do! Come on the weekends when the most shops will be open, and pay attention to hours! Most things open at 9/10 and some shops close at 2, so plan accordingly. If you're coming from out of town, consider staying in bisbee and also hitting tombstone and Lowell. Stay in the copper queen hotel or a cute quirky Airbnb. I'd avoid Bisbee Coffee Company and hit Allan & Co instead. Make sure you go to Patisserie Jacqui and Pussy Cat Gelato. Cafe Roka is excellent for a higher end meal. If you love thrifting/antiquing Bisbee, Lowell and Tombstone have tons of great shops. The hotel is BUZZING at night on the weekends when there's live music and it's a hoot. It's a magical place.

Afterwards, walk to Dot's Diner for a float or milkshake, and checkout the Shady Dell.

And of course I got some goodies for myself. My son got a small tub of homemade salsa. Tons of booths to explore. I highly recommend. Make sure to wear tons of sunscreen.

This historical old silver mining town hosts many family run businesses to give tourist an opportunity to step into history! Varying affordable entertainment options such as, the Trolly tour around Tombstone, a comedy gun fight show filled with entertainment for all, a mine tour, lots of museums, stage coach rides and tours, old trains, preserved historical landmarks and buildings, a Guiness Book World Record Rose Tree courtyard, a zipline, active churches, great restuarants, coffee shops, and ice cream shops. Wonderful western shopping, Native American art shopping, handmade art, antiques, and more. At night, they offer Ghost tours, old graveyard tours, shooting ranges, and lots of bar hopping activities. The "Ladies of the Night" may come out amongst the tourists with options of many hotels, motels, and Airbnbs around the town all within walking distance! A definite must see and do. Don't be shy, check out this town of history and preservance!

I expected to see what Tombstone may have looked like in the days of Wyatt Earp but with the shops and the changes so you have to pay to see anything, the vibe was just not there. I also expected to see people dressed in period costumes, but nope. Others have commented about how you have to drop $10-$12 to see a gunfight then pay again to see a show, then pay again to see the mine, then pay again to see something else, it adds up quick. And walls were built so you can't see anything without paying. Old Tucson seemed more realistic. Is there anything surviving from the Wyatt Earp days? Maybe, but with fires and renovations over the decades, I'm not sure what. We enjoyed seeing the RoseTree, and the Cowboy Coffee shop and talking to the slacker. (The third brother) The food was good at the saloon. Then we were ready to go.

It's a sight to see and I usually stand by my car and you should probably be standing in the parking lot too to get a full view of the thousands and thousands of bats that fly out from under the bridge where they nest. The bats are gone now until April or May when the weather is nice and warm at night for them to survive here. I was amazed the first time I saw so many little bats fly in such a short time. It's something special and more people should see this amazing displays of acrobatics the bats put on trying to catch flying insects during summer.

We explored the grounds and enjoyed the birds. We saw some local wildlife, enjoyed a rain fall, took too many photos. The family has been here taking care of this little slice of Heaven for decades, they know so much about the local ecosystem, wildlife, and the orchard they care for. The apples are fantastic, the birds are plenty, and the whole place is just wonderful. Wether for a day hike, a weekend getaway, or just a stroll I 10/10 recommend visiting. I think the day hike is 5$ and the cabins range in price, ours was 2 bedroom, 1 bath, and a kitchenette with a cozy living room, and was 120$ a night. We obviously stayed another night because the deck of the cabin was literally in the trees. Please please please come support a local family and visit. You surely won't regret it.

While we were staying in Tucson, we discovered that we were so close to Saguaro National Park…read more(particular the East side), so we decided to come by early in the morning when gates open at 8 am and did the Cactus Forest Drive for 8 hours. Worth it! Saw lots of cacti and got out of the car to take photos close up with the cacti too. While the cacti were more spread out in this location, it was definitely a sight to see! So random how we discovered this place on our roadtrip (as it wasn't even planned)! After completing the drive, the visitor center opened up and we were able to go inside for the gift shop and other learnings. So fun!

April is the perfect time of year to make the jaunt over to Saguaro National Park East for the…read moreCactus Forest Drive. The weather is not yet scorching and the blooming flora is beautiful. My family and I took the 8 mile drive on a Saturday afternoon over a span of about three hours, we stopped at many of the pullouts for a bit of exploring and photography. The entrance cost is $20 for a regular vehicle and an annual pass is $80, pricing varies for large groups and tours. I highly recommend a stop and short climb at Javelina Rock, although we didn't encounter any javelinas, the view was one of our favorites from the drive. The visitor center also has a fun gift shop you shouldn't miss! Can't wait to visit again when I have more time for hiking and exploration.
