The empanadas are made fresh so despite the welcoming window, you do need to order in advance. Twenty minutes usually gives them enough time to make you a fresh batch. I got a dozen assorted and was impressed by the design-forward packaging and presentation. Friendly service too. The empanadas were really nice. The pastry is flakey but holds together very well. The fillings come in lots of varieties, veg, vegan, and meat. The corn one is a sweet treat. The chicken was tender and flavourful. They provide some sauces that are quite tasty so it's worth asking for extra. I would have liked more heat but easy enough to add your favourite hot sauce after you bite into one. At $43 per dozen, it's about $3.75 per piece, which, pound for pound, is more expensive than pizza or samosas but worth it for something different and as close to home made as you can get from a production kitchen.

I'd say ten minutes after my order was accepted, it was cancelled. I had to scramble to find somewhere else to grab takeout for dinner. I never got a reason why my order was abruptly cancelled. This experience made me avoid hitting Ghost Kitchens until I was recently in Ajax. I have been craving salad practically every day for the last month. After running some errands in the area, I was ready for some lunch. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found Saladworks. I placed the following order: - Bently salad with light raspberry vinaigrette - Daydream cucumber beverage It had an estimated pickup time of fifteen minutes. It was perfect for me to slowly make my way over here. I looked at the address and it said that it was in Ghost Kitchens. I will admit that I did have some reservations after having placed this order. The good news was that it never got cancelled, so I was happy. This Ghost Kitchens location is in a plaza. It's closest to Kingston Road, with the main entrance facing south. I backed into a parking spot and walked in. There is a huge screen where you can place your order if you don't have Uber Eats or some other app installed. I walked over to the pickup counter and dinged the bell. A woman said that she would be right there. She asked for my order number. I rattled it off to her. She found my order and handed it to me. I thanked her and headed to my car to eat. You can also dine inside. There were plenty of seats and tables. The downside was that washrooms were unavailable during my visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad. The base was a romaine-iceberg lettuce blend. It had smoked ham, roasted turkey, sliced egg, diced tomatoes, and provolone cheese. What was cool was that most proteins were cubed. It was a nice change of pace. This salad was awesome, especially with the light raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was crunchy and fresh. The raspberry vinaigrette was delicious such that I took it home to enjoy on another salad the following week. If this place offered bottles of this vinaigrette, I'd get some in a heartbeat. My salad came with some rosemary bread. It was a nice touch. It was yummy. You didn't get a lot of it, but it was a perfect side to the salad. I wash everything down with a can of Daydream cucumber lime beverage. It tasted like getting a drink at a spa. I loved the subtle cucumber flavour with a hint of lime. It wasn't worth what I had paid for, though, especially when I found a four-pack of this flavour at Winners a week later that was perhaps a twoonie more. I finally placed a successful order from Ghost Kitchens. I absolutely loved my salad from Saladworks and had a great experience. I can't wait to explore its other salads on the menu. (209)

I have to comment on the exceptional packing. The food was still warm about 3 hours later it is all fresh and flavourful. A bit pricey, especially the chicken fried rice at $7.95, but the General Tso's chicken (you have to order the namesake) is very tasty, aling with the crispy beef (not very crispy, but fried up goodness) eggplant and shrimp in lobster sauce. I got a quick, friendly greeting and service and ordered the pepperoni. I waited a bit and then loved the look of my pizza and the square shape with the 16 pepperoni's evenly placed. It tasted good and the soft dough reminded me of pizzas from Costco which I also like a lot. And I learned after that Panago's pizza uses organic tomato sauce and the dough is fresh and never frozen, made without artificial additives. And most of all the dough has a little honey added. I think that's what I loved about the unique taste and texture of the dough! There wasn't many places to eat inside except by the windows. Unfortunately the windows are covered with signage posters so not much sunlight comes in. But I'm definitely coming back!
