With the notable exception of Jessy from Hotley Law! When Jessy returned my call, she came PREPARED. Wanted all the details, listened extremely attentively, and laid out what the legal strategy, costs, benefits, etc were in proceeding. I can't thank Jessy and Solveig from Hotley Law enough. They handled all my questions, took care of the paperwork and any potential loose ends, and turned, well, let's be honest, a not-so-great experience into a 5-star one! For reals, thank you to Jessy, Solveig, and the team at Hotley Law from me and my kid for helping us get past this chapter and onto to the rest of our lives.

Prior to retaining the services of Holtey Law, my wife and I had been involved in a painful,…read moretwo-year long custodial struggle, with a lawyer who was...less than helpful. Eventually, we were forced to change strategies, and attorneys. We had sought a second opinion on our case from Nathan Holtey, who came recommended to us, and that one hour conversation was enough to convince us that he and his team were up to the task. When the aforementioned change of representation occurred, Nathan was personally unavailable for our case, but recommended the absolutely stellar, professional and personable Allison Kamilos. Allison immediately picked up the slack, leaping in to the middle of the previous attorney's clusterf**k, managing to turn everything around and help us navigate the final steps of our custody battle, despite an absurdly tight schedule before the final deadline. Allison communicated clearly, openly and honestly, listening to our concerns, offering feedback and advice (something our previous attorney failed to do), and making one of the most stressful and frustrating times in our lives navigable, bearable, and affordable. I cannot recommend the services of Holtey Law, and Allison in particular, any higher. If ever the situation arises again, where we are in need of an attorney (and I pray that day never comes), I will look nowhere else for legal representation. Case closed.

Mr Shelton was adversarial, made false accusation, and refused to discuss parenting time over finances. He cost our family thousands and destroyed any chance of friendship between my ex and I. If the goal is to burn it down, go for it!

You weren't there, you didn't experience the horror I experienced. During and after; 5 years after this horrific divorce process. It was a nightmare that wouldn't end for 5 more years after the divorce because he left me with so much to do and I had no experience doing such work. And not so much money left I had to sell all my properties. I got the short end of the stick as most women who knew no powerful men or people do. I am trying to change that here. I have no reason to go give bad or false reviews to someone out of nothing, I gave that review to hep other women who didn't know anyone in this country, just like I was then. He never fought for me therefore I got a very bad deal when my ex, although making so much more money, got more, got a good deal. I thought my lawyer was going to try to get me the best deal. He just showed up at the court in designer suits pompous doing saying not much. My father just passed away before my ex started divorce (even though we made an agreement, shook hands to start the divorce in 3 years when kids are out of house in college), because I didn't want to expose my kids to this) My ex knew I loved my dad dearly and he filed the divorce 3 years earlier when I was in his funeral, so I couldn't do nothing because I was mourning, Lawyer said none of that said nothing, I thought this man was going to fight and get the best deal for me as it was his job, he did nothing. Made me pay 20k, I think 3k in late chargers, he had the nerve to charge me late fees after doing not much at the court, I had to work after the divorce to get all was given and pay more money after this lawyer took most of my money. And it was Covid no one will come help even if you paid. If I knew he wouldn't do anything I would have talked in the court. I would have defended in myself much better. I thought I had to not talk and he would do it all for me. I was so wrong. He was Horrible lawyer I was paralyzed during and after that court. Also I never said she was his mistress ( I can't know that only god knows that) I said I had a feeling she was since he made me pay her $2000 to write two pages about me (I just met the woman a little before I hired him,she was the one who referred me to this man saying he is good, he wasn't, I had no time to find anyone else, so I felt I had no choice but to go with him.) She came to the court with two pages she wrote for me took probably 5 minutes to write dressed overly made up and sexy as if she was going on a date, sitting there. Omg as I said I cant know what the deal was only god knows that) Funny out of all my complaints you would only respond to that. I would write more but they wouldn't let me write more.

I'm sure there are a zillion choices out there for legal represenation. About 5 years back Laura handled my divorce. Looking back I'll admit, I was a mess. She guided me through the process with professionalism and genuine care. She took the time to hear my concerns and ultimately helped settle the case without having going to trial. That in itself was a miracle -- but she got it done. I was grateful! Second experience for me came after I found myself needing to seek full time custody of my 3 children. I engaged Laura and her team again. I felt my situation was very complicated.. It really was. However she has the ability to cut right through to the core issues and doesn't waver or get side tracked. She lead the settlement negotiations with the opposing lawyer and she was clearly in control. I liked that she keeps an eye on efficiency. I never really felt that she wasted time. Remember, time = money with lawyers. Ultimately we prevailed and settled without having to go to trial a second time. (Laura made that happen). Laura achieved that for me twice. She and her team are seasoned professionals. I'm grateful they have the real world experience needed to get me results. Two thumbs up! Highly recommend.
