I rent my car out on Getaround & it's fantastic. Made $1000+ last month! Check out the details via website. It's pretty low maintenance.

From this, I thought it was more of an electrical issue at the time. I read some of their stellar reviews so I called Autohaus Social and was told my VW has to be brought in for a diagnostic testing to determine what the true issue is. I called on a Monday and since they were pretty busy during the week, was told they open some Saturdays to keep up with the work flow. I then decided to make an appointment for that upcoming Saturday. Checking in was breezy. I instantly felt like my issues were heard and understood. Their updates were done via an online portal and heard back a few hours later that it just needed a new battery. Thank goodness that it was a fairly easy fix than I originally thought. The diagnostic testing was around $200 plus labor, then cost of battery and labor for that. I probably did pay a few more hundred dollars rather than simply getting the battery replaced at one of the chain auto stores, but at least I found a very reliable auto repair shop that handles European cars. I haven't had any issues since getting my car battery replaced. Thanks Autohaus Social for your great customer service and overall work!

I had such a great experience with NuBrakes from start to finish! I found them through Google and…read morereached out for a quote, and they responded incredibly fast the very same day. Not only was the pricing reasonable, but they were also able to schedule me for the very next day, which was a huge plus. The convenience of having the service done at my home made the entire process so much easier and stress free. Josh, my technician, was professional, efficient, and extremely thorough. He made sure everything was properly tested before leaving and took the time to ensure the job was done right. The service was quick, seamless, and overall excellent quality. I'm truly grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend NuBrakes to anyone looking for convenient, reliable, and professional brake service!

When I reached out, a technician came out and claimed the issue was rust on the new rotors. I asked how they could rust so quickly, and he dismissed my concerns, saying that any exposure to water could cause rust. What really frustrated me was his condescending attitude. Instead of taking the time to investigate further (he didn't even remove the tire), he insisted he knew best because he had years of experience in the industry. He told me "most people understand the concept of metal to metal and water on metal creating rust. Then commenced to open and close his van door over and over to illustrate the concept like I was dumb. I explained that I'd owned the car for five years and had never encountered squeaking, even with rusted rotors, which led me to believe there might be an issue with the products they used. All this without him even removing tires to investigate for other issues. Instead of addressing my concerns, he simply argued with me and stated, "I am just going to put on my headphones," indicating he was going to ignore me. Then he said I will replace them but what will you expect us to do when this happens two weeks later again? The customer service was very disappointing, and I feel like my concerns were completely ignored. I will not be returning to this shop. Also to make sure there were no other potential issues I did my own research and found out there could be other potential causes of the grinding and squeaking 3 weeks later, none of which the technician diagnosed. Here are the other potential causes identified by chat gpt. Would have been nice if the technician informed me of this: New rotors can begin to develop surface rust fairly quickly, especially if they're exposed to moisture or if the vehicle is not driven frequently. However, noticeable grinding or squeaking shortly after installation typically indicates a problem beyond just surface rust. Here are a few potential causes for the grinding and squeaking: 1. **Moisture and Environmental Factors**: As mentioned, humidity or exposure to water can lead to rust. However, this shouldn't cause grinding noises unless the rotors are severely corroded. 2. **Improper Installation**: If the rotors or pads were not installed correctly, it could lead to uneven wear or misalignment, causing noise. 3. **Quality of Parts**: If the rotors or pads are of lower quality, they may not perform as expected and could wear out quickly. 4. **Debris Between Rotor and Pad**: Dirt or debris caught between the rotor and brake pad can create noise and affect braking performance. 5. **Brake Pad Material**: Some brake pads, especially semi-metallic ones, can be noisier than others, particularly when they are new. 6. **Lack of Break-In**: New brake pads often require a break-in period to settle properly, and if this process isn't followed, it can lead to noises.
