When first entering Brighton Dental, you can expect a friendly greeting from the office employees. The waiting room is equipped with a Keurig Coffee Maker, a water dispenser, and also an area for children to comfortably await their appointment, or the appointment of their guardian. The actual appointment with the dentist will surely be a pleasurable experience, well, as pleasurable of an experience one can encounter in a dental office setting. Unlike other dentist offices I have visited, Brighton Dental offers me an option to listen to my favorite bands via internet radio. The relaxing song, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", is typically what I desire when choosing the Nirvana station. A typical response from most would assume this genre of music to be too powerful. Studies have proven that specific genres of music induce relaxation, music specific to one's liking. An increase in endorphins is also prevalent, which generally assists in pain relief during more in-depth procedures. The doctor I can personally review without bias is Dr. Chalom, DDS. He not only practices in a professional manner, but also provides his patients with interesting and amusing conversation. He conveys his actions verbally if one shows signs of unease during one's procedure. It can sometimes be difficult to resist the urge of laughter whilst he describes details of his conversational material. Laughter and comedic antics are also another source of releasing endorphins. Thus, has proven to be psychologically important, as I created an extremely painful crack in my recent root canal, fault of my own, if I may add. Dr. Chalom's assistant, Ms. Vosburg (Her exact title is unknown) is a big help in continuing the conversation during times of speech restriction due to dental instruments. All in all, they have actively pursued ways to implement strategies assisting in their procedures, of which have proven to be effective. I often see children in the office during my visitation, and they show no signs of disapproval, from my perspective. As someone who cared for an autistic sibling, I know the importance of this aspect. My personal approval rating would be higher, given the opportunity to increase the star rating. Thank you, Brighton Dental Group, for eliminating the pain in my mouth, providing me with superb service, and allowing me to leave with a smile. Sincerely, 01001110S

I was a patient there less two years (2024-2025) so this is not a comprehensive review that others…read moremay expect. Pros: Great staff whether receptionist, hygienists, or dentists. The work they did was very good according to a couple other dentists I saw afterward. For this alone I would rate them five stars. Cons: Cost is the sole reason I left. A special 3-D scan cost $649; two other dentists I asked charged $150 and $250 for same scan and were surprised by the Brighton Dental price. On implants, the going price around WNY is $4,000-$5,000 whereas the Brighton Dental charge was $6,500. It was not a special case for an implant and I had it done elsewhere for just under $4,000. This time, not just two but three other dentists I asked about this were surprised by the Brighton Dental Group price. Also, the Brighton dentist assured me that I needed a second implant whereas two other dentists who did not know each other thought I only needed one.

To further elaborate, the entire staff at Elmwood Dental Group is incredible.. dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff-literally everyone there! Elmwood Dental Group make visiting the dentist an extremely pleasurable experience. More recently, my four year-old son fell face first onto a bench while visiting the Strong Museum of Play. With a quick call to Elmwood Dental, they had us in office in less than an hour. Their staff are so amazing with the little ones! Dr. Chris made his x-ray super painless, and as much fun as a four year-old can have getting an x-ray on a tender tooth. Dr. Comfort even gave out her cell number in case he had an issue over the weekend, while the office was closed. Additionally, I want to add that Kayla, the hygienist who worked on my two young boys, made it so fun for them, it seemed like a playdate. Same goes with the filling that Dr. Comfort performed on my older son. He was genuinely enjoying himself and having fun the whole time. I love this practice and would recommend it to anyone in need of dental care. Which is everyone, really. My family has only been going here for about a month, but already the staff feel like family. Thanks for being so awesome Elmwood Dental Group!!! I appreciate you.

Pittsford Family Dental & Periodontist 3592 Monroe Ave…read morePittsford, NY 14534 (585) 248-5250 pittsfordfamilydental.com I've been coming to this family practice for over seven years. At my most recent dental cleaning appointment, I was disappointed to learn that Lottie, the dental hygienist I've been seeing for quite some time, was no longer with the practice. Lottie was always welcoming and consistently made a point to check in on how I was doing while performing her work. She was thorough, gentle, and thoughtful--someone who made you feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her presence always added a sense of ease to the appointment. Unfortunately, my experience with the new hygienist was quite different. Although she was technically thorough, she was not very welcoming or personable. I sensed it immediately--from the first moment she looked at me as I turned the corner. It was clear this would be a very different kind of experience. Dental cleanings can be uncomfortable to begin with, and when the person working inches from your face seems disconnected or indifferent, it only magnifies the discomfort. I didn't feel like a patient--I felt like a task. An object. Just a mouth being cleaned. It was a deeply unsettling feeling. Thankfully, when the dentist came in, she was as warm and professional as always. Her kindness offered a moment of relief, and for a second, I thought she may have sensed something was off. My own demeanor had shifted--I couldn't wait to leave. Despite the positive interaction with the dentist, it wasn't enough to offset the earlier experience. When it came time to schedule my next appointment, I requested a different hygienist. I won't put myself in that situation again. Recommendation: I sincerely hope the practice sees this review as an opportunity for reflection and provides constructive feedback to the hygienist involved. Interpersonal connection and emotional intelligence are just as important in patient care as clinical skills. Lastly, a broader piece of feedback for the practice: I'd love to see, over time, an increase in African American, Hispanic American and neurodiverse staff members, reflective of the growing diversity in the patient population. Representation matters--in both care and comfort. Kevin
