Good Books in the Woods in a used bookstore in a house in The Woodlands. Watch your step as you explore because several time I stepped off a small step too hard because I was looking around in awe and not watching where I was walking. When I say this is a book maze I'm not joking--but you should definitely go get lost in it. Cheers to the proprietor who was so patient with us every time we needed help finding something. I can't wait to go back!

Young lady that works here is very helpful and kind and your items are packaged beautifully when you leave. And a clerk who violates VISA policy on debit cards and requires a minimum. Google and check it out--VISA allows a minimum charge for credit transactions, but not for debit. Lucked out on a rare Saturday off by finding a gem of a bookstore in Tomball, TX…read more The owner named Cyndi, was super nice and attentive and even offered me a piece of chewing gum when she heard me clearing my throat while exploring her wonderful selection up and down the aisle. She said chewing gum normally helps her when she has a tickle in her throat; now that's what I call customer service and Cyndi seems to go above and beyond by how neat and organized her shop is and how kind she is towards everyone that walked in while we were there. If you are not near this splendid shop, do yourself a favor and hoo into the car and head over to browse the great selection from an honest-to-goodness small independent business. You'll find something good for yourself and your family and above all, you'll receive superb first-class service and attention from Cyndi in her lovely, cozy and inviting little book store. The customer service is always excellent, and you can always find something, especially if you're in need of a gift for someone. Prices range from high-end items to fun finds below $20. I love the Mudpie, Brighton, Royal Standard, and fun Louisianan items (my NOLA-raised self definitely appreciates them). I bought a Louisiana-themed tea towel, and an associate offered to hold it at the register until checkout. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but she was so incredibly helpful. The reason I'm removing a star is because when we first entered the store, despite being greeted, we were heavily watched and followed while we browsed Tyler Candle and Mackenzie Childs products. I own several items from both companies, yet when we got in the car, my mom remarked how uncomfortable it made her feel. I absolutely agree. I realize they've probably had theft issues, especially with the close proximity to the freeway, and I know Mackenzie Childs products are a pretty penny (as well as fragile), but glaring at customers and staying within a few feet of them the entire time they're browsing products is a bit overboard. Fortunately, as we continued through the store, the micromanagement died way down. I would have been more at ease if I could have freely shopped the entry area, and my mom probably would have bought something. The customer service and vast selection are 1000% worth the four stars.

Right now, the have some beautiful Christmas decor and unique ornaments.
