I purchased a Groupon for a color and cut. My haircut and color were OK. Otherwise, this is one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had. I am traumatized by Agnes' unprofessional, rude, and dangerous behavior. She started the appointment almost 30 minutes late, dyed my forehead, up charged me for "long hair", though no other salon has ever done that, she left the salon for over 30 minutes while my hair was processing, rinsed with freezing cold water and didn't listen to my requests to use warmer water, pushed my head around like a doll, argued a lot, barked orders like a sergeant to move my head, put my chin up, etc.. Flung-dye soaked hair in my face, yelled at me when I moved it off my face, put an open pair of scissors centimeters from my eye, and pretty much was rude and abusive for 2 hours straight, which left me wanting to get the H@ll out of there as soon as the service was completed. My fingernails have black dye under it that seems to come off my hair every time I touch it. Agnes could have blinded me with the dye-soaked hair or the scissors. The only saving grace was she educated me on how to take care of my damaged hair and how to apply products. Other than that and her little dog Ira, the experience was pure H@ll. read more

I liked Angie's haircut and her trying to find the root cause. I am giving 4 however due to 2 reasons: PROS: Good cut, She figures what you need- so great for folks like me who want to experiment with hair She recommends products, takes time to patiently explain the products to use and style your hair. CONS: She gets late to open the door (That's totally fine but I guess she needs to give a heads up and she kind of thinks it's okay. Well.. Not sure about that), I got a heads up after waiting there for 10 minutes. You will have to pay $25 more than groupon at times for your hair length. Upto shoulder is $30. So $55 is a standard price. For me, I will be coming back. Because she doesn't seem super commercial and schedules trimming every 3 months like my previous salon. read more

When it came to "The Big Chop", I was afraid because I had experiences with other hairstylists. But she was the opposite. She brought her dog to help calm me down, she used special hair products to help me with my eczema and overall I experienced barely any pain. I'm in tears of joy because I'm finally free to not worry about the pain of my hair all because of her. I am forever grateful and I will definitely continue to work with her. Also, she recommended me and my mom products that work on my hair and will make my skin better. read more

Agnes is very talented and makes you feel beautiful when she finishes her services. I went there with a fried, blonde mop of hair unwilling to cut much off, with her gentle persuasion I agreed to a proper trim. Now my hair looks healthy, even, just perfect. She does not push products but rather gives you tips and advice on how to better take care of and style your hair. Unprofessional hair dresser. Inspite of telling her about the length of hair, she accidentally cut it more by 50% making me look like a clown. In addition, to console me of the error, she told me that she is going to sell this to wig manufacturing companies as the hair are of excellent quality. She charged me $350 for a Korean straightening that did not straighten my hair. I sent her pics and asked if she could redo it she said that the top two inches were straight and that's all that she applied the product on!! This is a long time coming. I have known Agnes for many years . I am always reluctant to switch hair stylists though - as my hair is short, thin, and hard to make look " its best" . So while I have known her and trusted her didn't make give her a shot until about a year ago and have been very pleased. Location is comfy, easy parking, not crowded. Introduced me to some products I hadn't used before and that I now always use. Price is good. She works hard and cares about her clients. Honest and trustworthy. 5 stars Agnes. read more

I was shocked reading these other reviews because my experience was the complete opposite. Agnes might be the worst haircut stylist I've ever been to. Never have I been to a stylist who doesn't even ask the customer what style they want. She proceeded to cut my hair without asking me or stopping when I asked to to pause till I told her what I wanted. Her excuse was she just "figured" what I wanted. Horrible, horrible experience. Today was my first appointment with Agnes. I have very curly hair and have suffered through many many bad hair experiences so I was extremely nervous. Adding icing on the cake was that I decided to take the extra risk of adding color to my hair to cover up the grey that's started creeping in. Curly women, Agnes knows her stuff! She gave me amazing advice on products to use and how to improve the strength of my hair so there's less breakage. And this was on top of knowing how to cut my hair so that it lays nicely while I'm waiting for it to grow out. Now the color - I had no idea what I wanted/needed so I assumed that I needed all over color to cover up the grey but I really wanted something natural and low maintenance. Agnes really listened to what I wanted and advised that because I didn't have a lot of grey highlights would work well. She went just slightly lighter than my natural color and I LOVE it! Its really natural and covered up the grey like magic! But most importantly, I left her salon feeling like I looked great but also feeling more empowered and in control of the mop that is my hair:) I'll definitely be back and would recommend her to everyone, especially those of you looking for someone who knows how to work with curls. read more

Oh my gosh!!! Agnes is amazing. I started coming on the recommendation of a friend who kept getting cool fun styles from Agnes. She was great when I told her I didn't want anything that "cool and fun " - yet. I have very dark hair that doesn't take color well. The color never really showed up. Well Agnes figured it out! After reading all the reviews I thought let me give her a try as there had to be someone in Washington State that knew how to do diverse hair. Best decision of my life, I waited a few months so I could give a honest review. This is what I have found, she knows her stuff. Like really she is a all around hair, nail and skin expert. While her speciality is hair, you will be delighted to find that her recommendations for your hair will also improve your skin and nails. She is completely professional, always on time and listens to your exact needs. No one size fits all here! She is definitely invested in your hair and long term goals. I was having specific issues with my hair and each visit she checked in on what was happening for me and reported anything new she found out. Customer service is something she prides herself on and it shows in the way she had handled me even when I was a pill!
