I was very impressed with the competency and commitment of Jonathan the lead painter- supervisor of our job,he made sure we were advised of the flow of the work. He was in touch regularly to make sure he was doing exactly what we were expecting. It was a big job 2 story house and an out building. Three colors! Jonathan alerted me of some roof damage, some that delayed the painting and some to be checked on later. I am very happy with the finished project and grateful for Jonathan's diligence. read more

Got an estimate many years ago from this place. It was soooooo expensive and significantly $$$$$$$over-priced, I fell out of my chair. Only naive nouveau riche types would hire these goofs. Felt like because I am a female, they thought I'd be an idiot, also. read more

Gerst just completed painting the outside of our house today and it looks fabulous. They paid attention to detail during prep, actual painting and cleanup. Jonathan Dye was the primary painter and he was assisted by Nate ?. Both gentlemen were very respectful and professional at all times. We are very pleased with our finished product and would definitely recommend Gerst if you have any painting projects to be done. Doug & Penny Mellott read more

Very knowledgeable and talented staff! We used Gerst for wallpaper installation after a terrible experience from someone off Nextdoor. Gerst came in and was extremely knowledgeable with our type of wallpaper and incredibly detail oriented! Couldn't be happier with their work! read more

On Jan 23 2024 at 6:42 am I was driving west on Dodge. A van was tailgating me so close for approximately 1/4 mile. It was so close that at some point could not see their headlights. They eventually passed me and I saw it was a Gerst painting van. In my opinion anyone who drives like that, especially with a company van has no integrity and I would not hire them. read more

I can, with complete confidence, recommend Gerst Painting for your painting and woodwork refreshing needs. I had the pleasant opportunity to work closely with Gerst Painting in 2020.  What a difference maker they are during this especially challenging year. We collaborated on several home projects  I am pleased to say the Gerst Painting professionals quickly comprehend difficult tasks.  They readily accept responsibility to complete projects with little oversight or direction. The team are creative professionals of the highest caliber. The Gerst team efficiently completed their work with ease, humor and great composure. They are innovative self-starters.  They are punctual and exceed expectations.  The Gerst team handles pressure well and will voluntarily work overtime and take work home to meet a deadline.   Gerst Painting is respected and admired by our neighbors, concierge professionals and condo security. I am confident that, if selected, Gerst Paining would provide the same level of service and commitment. read more

Gerst painted two bedrooms, my study office, and a dining room. Jonathan Dye just completed a bedroom and dining room. He was pleasant, cooperative and did a very professional job painting both rooms. Sometimes I am like most people hard to please but Jonathan did a great job and left me nowhere to go. I am completely happy and satisfied with his work. read more

They did an amazing job painting the exterior of our home. George and Israel were very mindful in letting me know when my dogs could go out to use the restroom and even called me out front to look at the transformation to make sure I was happy with the color and how it was looking. They maintained a clean job site while painting and when completed at the end of each day. They did exactly what they said they were going to and when they were going to. I would definitely recommend Gerst painting and will keep them in mind for any future painting projects. read more

Gerst was great! They repainted the entire exterior of our home plus our wrought iron fence and did an outstanding job. They also subbed out some stucco repair work which we had been trying to get done for years and it turned out great! Jonathan (the guy in charge) was super to work with and checked in with us constantly to ensure we were pleased. We've used Gerst numerous times, and once again they "hit it out of the park". I highly recommend them. read more

Joseph did interior paintwork and skylight repair for us. He was prompt, respectful of our home and did an outstanding job. We are very satisfied with the work Joseph did and highly recommend Gerst for home project needs. read more

Well, I hired Gerst to paint my house and I thought the job was great. There were some missed spots that they came back to touch up. My big complaint with Gerst was the window clean up. The windows were totally spray painted over. The worker that scraped the windows missed some spots which I complained about, but nothing was done about it. Also, the paint that was scraped off the windows wasn't picked up and laid on the patio, window sills, grass, etc. in globs. I will have to hire a window cleaning company to come out and wash and finish the scraping of paint that Gerst left on the windows. I think that Gerst should subcontract with a professional window cleaning company to make all the windows perfectly clean on painting projects that are just finished... it would be a nice finishing touch. read more

We used Gerst to paint the outside of our house after new siding, windows and downspouts. What an awesome job they did. They worked with us to make sure the colors we wanted looked good. They checked with us throughout the process to verify things were looking good and asking if there was anything that needed correcting. Johnathan and Aiden were polite, on time, and always cleaned up when the work day was done. They were easy to talk to and listened to any questions or concerns we might of had. Knowledgeable and easy to work with. Would have them back for any job, big or small. read more

Second time we have used Gerst for exterior house painting. First time lasted about 12 years. Gerst takes time to properly prepare the surface for painting (power wash and caulking). Painters on the job kept us updated on status of painting and always asked if we saw anything that needed to be addressed. Also did some minor repair work for us. Finished product looks great! read more

I can't say enough of how happy we are with the end result . We hired them to remove this 1940's wallpaper we had in our house and they painted walls and trim. They were SO professional and went out and about their way to make sure that they were using products that were safe for my growing belly. Would hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

Has some interior water damage from a roof leak and had Gerst Painting come out to have a look. Kyle was the painter who came over to assess the damage and do the work, and he was incredibly helpful and professional! He told me honestly how long it would take and after I showed him some additional work that I would have liked to be done, even though it wasn't from the roof leak, he said they would just fix up those spots at no extra charge because it wouldn't take them more than an hour or so. The work they did looks fantastic and I would highly recommend them! read more

Andy Farrell of Gerst Painting assisted us with a stairwell paint job. The ceiling was too dangerous for us to reach. He painted the ceiling and walls. Andy took extra precautions with drop clothes and tape to assure that our home would not be damaged. He arrived each day when he said he would. Very respectful of us and our home. Ron and Casey were very helpful with estimates and scheduling. Gerst uses Sherwin-Williams paint. We will call them again. read more
