Does anyone recommend a good place to get new material (top and sides) made for boats? NOT…read morePROSTITCH!! I'm going to vent a bit here... facts: boat tops were brought in and we asked for new material, we were told not to waste any money, but to re stitch. After a lengthy time, we decided to let them restitch (what we thought was rotten material), they are the "professionals". Also to get windows put in the old material (yes you read that right OLD MATERIAL, at their advise) less than one season the material ripped (shocker), and the snaps never closed on the windows due to the boat never going in and getting measured! (under their profession advisement) multiple emails, calls etc. (well over a year, with no response) last week out of the blue someone called back from ProStitch trying to make it right.. ha ha!!! conclusion: Maria at Prostitch under Jonathan's advisement stated now the boat go back in (which was never done to begin with) to fix the windows (that's ok, but should had been done long ago). Regarding the top and rotten material, they did their job by restitching and will not offer correction since this was our fault by letting them restitch in the first place, and according to Maria, we should had left and gone somewhere else if originally ProStitch wouldn't do what we wanted!!!! WHATTTTTT!!!! Aren't they the "professionals?" Also we were told that restitches let go and fail but we need proof that we had the word done with an invoice (yes I should had kept it, but did change email addresses), Maria said that they were broken into and lost all accounting and information, so basically it isn't their fault!!! And conclusion to our conversation on the phone she said she had no more resources and time to discuss the problem any further with me! Ok now that I've just lost half of the readers interest in my long winded story, please only support this business if you wish to be treated the same as we were!! What companies is everyone out there using??

I can't believe the negative review as my experience with Prostitch was anything but. I had a few…read morejobs that I needed done, and the owner gave me a quote right on the spot. Within a week I was called back saying it was done. When I went to pick it up, the final cost was actually lower than what I was quoted. I was very impressed, because any other business would have just stuck with the quote cost. But they were very admirable. I was very impressed with the final product too! A+++++++++

The 2nd repair lasted me 3 uses. The first time cost me a little over $100 and the second a little over $200. The ladies behind the counter are very friendly but one of the males working there was extremely rude to me when I went in to complain. BTW I was not rude. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I cannot express enough how much I appreciate this shop! I've brought in a number of boots, heels,…read moreand even a suede purse, and all have been repaired with the utmost quality of craftsmanship for an extremely reasonable price. I've had leather wedge heels rebuilt on my boots, soles replaced, zippers replaced, leather re-dyed, and a suede purse strap reattached and reinforced. They have even worked with synthetic leather to replace zippers for me. They were considerate of the fact that some of my boots are very pricey; you can definitely trust them with your designer footwear! The only issue I ever had was that they couldn't repair my coral red pumps simply because they would not be able to achieve the same colour of patent leather-- but they told me upfront, and I appreciate the honesty rather than them ruining a pair of expensive heels! I actually drive my shoes up to Sudbury (I live in TO now) when I visit because I know I'll be getting quality work here.

I used SR several years ago for some paving stone work and thought it would be good to add a review…read morebased on long term quality. Within the first year the workmanship was shifting and moving more than it should be. Now that it has been a couple years it has moved allot, I fear that I will need to spend more money to fix something that I paid what I considered a large amount. My neighbor did almost the same type of paving stone design and it is holding up incredibly well and almost no movement. This is a telling me that it is based on the type of workmanship. You take the review as you see fit but I will not use SR in future myself especially at the premium they charge for fairly standard work.
