The Mangalista Pork is delicious! Tender and very flavorful. The pork chops, baker bacon burger, and sausage are the best I have ever tasted. I came across Bakers Green Acres while searching out Organic Meat in Michigan. The delivery was quick and the service has been awesome. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for Beyond Organic food. All the the meat is pasture raised, non-gmo and NO pesticides.I love supporting my local Michigan Farmers. We tried the Pork Chops: Here is the review My husband and I ordered pork chops from Bakers Green Acres. I cooked two pork chops up tonight for my husband. As he was enjoying his dinner, with a degree of animation that typically isn't present during a nightly dinner. I inquired, He quoted "this is the best pork chop ever! The fat on it is amazing, I wish it had more on it." He then passed me a bite and he was not kidding. The flavor to me tasted more like beef almost. Like the best steak you have ever tasted. tender, juicy, and flavorful. I have never had a pork chop that had such amazing flavor. We will be ordering more... a lot more! Rich in Flavor -Red and Marbled - Maglista Pork.. This is not the other white meat!~ A+ Service A+ Pork

Much of menu is grown on the working farm, or comes from the surrounding area of Leelanau. And the lettuce just tastes better. Farm to table also means the menu is ever changing. There are a couple of staples, kale ceasar, chicken torta, beans and broth, their farm board, and of course their home made corn nuts. While beans and broth is simple, our group loves it, homey and flavorful, with their perfect greens side salad. I have generally ordered whatever the fish dish offering is, and it's also been amazing. They also recently opened their market, a bit of an expanded market from the small shop inside the restaurant, as well as sandwiches and bakery items. They have a few small tables. The restaurant does not do reservations. It's usually warm when we visit (this year was an exception) so we don't mind the wait as the long yard is lovely, with seating and a drinks and snack counter.

My first time this year I had an excellent experience, with the beet salad, zucchini fritters, seasonal pasta, and chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious! The last time was not my favorite - I didn't love the risotto or seasonal toast this time, and the last of my sides arrived well after my meal was finished. Unfortunately the shop was also out of my favorite Kari Kari chili garlic crunch I usually stock up on here - hoping they will have it next time! Still a must try in the area, and I can't wait for my next visit.

We love the Shetler Family Dairy, and have been buying their milk for 10 years. We also love their…read moreyogurt smoothies and cream. We love that they do not homogenize the milk, which makes it healthy for the heart, the way milk is supposed to be drank. They also flash pasteurize to avoid killing off all the healthy nutrients in the milk. Store-bought milk is homogenized (very unhealthy for the human heart) and ultra pasteurized, which kills essential nutrients. Their milk tastes way better than the store milk I grew up on. Their chocolate milk is also amazing. I don't know if they still do the milk plant tours, but if they do, be sure to go on one. I remember years back, Kaleb Shetler showed a group of us how they process and bottle the milk. It was amazing. Each year they also have their Open Barn, which is amazing for the whole family. There is only one thing that I don't like, and that is their ice cream. I am an ice cream fan. Their ice cream used to be super gritty and I stopped eating it. Just had some recently and it is too dense and crystalized. I do, however, think it is good that they use fewer bad ingredients in their ice cream, which some other local dairies use. The ingredients list on their ice cream is shorter than others, which is a good thing. We will continue to support the Shetler dairy for as long as we continue to live in the area.

5 STARS!!!! WHY? BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!!!!…read more I don't know why anyone would rate it any less than 5 stars. Where else can you get cream line milk in glass bottles fresh from the farm?!?!?! No, seriously, where? The place is small and their hours are 11-5, but if you can make it there they have amazing products and it feels like a step back in time to a place where things were a little more simple, a little higher quality, and a whole lot more delicious. They have other products as well. Cheese and meat. I mean, really, what else do you want out of a little Dairy Farm Store? I mean, other than girls dancing the can-can or a juggling clown, this place is one of my favorite stops on my way north. It's pricey, but so is a Mercedes and I don't see anyone complaining about that. You get what you pay for here. They also take American Express, which is a plus for a business traveler looking for a place to spend his daily per diem.
