The shop did a terrible job on my car. Took my car several times and never corrected the issue. Office personnel are rude and nasty.

I called a week in advance to get an estimate for damage to my truck. I had an appointment for 10:00 am on Tuesday 9/16, when I got to the desk, I was told that they didn't have the staff to estimate my trucks damage. And apparently they don't want my business. The woman that was the customer service person was unwilling to help me today, and she couldn't care less about the appointment that THEY made, and NEVER even gave me the courtesy of calling me to reschedule. I really would not recommend the business at all! Then I went to Smitty's Collision on 24th St, and they saw my truck and gave me an estimate in less than 10 minutes, and the staff at Smitty's were pleasant and very helpful! Thank you Smitty's! I was rear ended so the job was to install a new rear bumper and I payed out of pocket as an extra to have the whole vehicle detailed. My first issue was that the mud pads were not installed when I picked up the vehicle, requiring the vehicle to be returned on another day to have them installed, which was very inconvenient. There are a couple quality concerns with the vehicle. The trunk has a noticeable uneven gap, and the Honda emblem is loose-both indicating a lack of attention to detail. The sides of the rear bumper also show uneven gaps where they connect to the vehicle, affecting the overall appearance. There is white overspray in random areas on the exterior, mostly on the roof of the vehicle. Lastly there was also a white powdery residue left inside of the trunk. The manager did offer a rental for a week so that my vehicle could get fixed. I live in San Diego so I drove down all the way to Yuma to pick up the rental, only to find out they cannot cover insurance on the rental due to corporate policy. I was not about to pay almost $200 out of pocket for insurance when I wouldn't be in this situation in the first place if the work was done right the first time. read more

My grandson had a car accident during his weekend in Yuma. Im from Yuma he is not, I Recommended the car go to Gerber Collision &Glass not knowing his personal items was still in the car, he went to the hospital because of the severity of the crash. Long story short, 2 weeks later went to get personal items out of car because insurance company total out the car. Talked to manger Josh about the Items that was taken out of car because no camera systems in back were cars are located he gave me his word that he'll take care of replacing the items and assured me he'll stay in communication with my grandson until this matter got resolve but never did! I was familiar with Gerber Collision and Glass because of some work they had done on our car a few years back under the auspices of an insurance company. This month I managed to damage the passenger side rear view mirror on my own. We purchased the replacement part from the Toyota dealer but they were unable to schedule us quickly for repair. Called Gerber and they scheduled us for early the next morning. The work was done quickly and perfectly. The women working in the office were pleasant and we had some fun conversations while I waited. I cannot say enough good things about this company. unfortunately this business doe not deserve any stars from me overall but Yelps forces you to chose one. GERBER COLLISION YUMA AZ has such poor workmanship that I am embarrassed to have this business in my home town. they ordered after market parts not OEM for my 2023 Toyota 4Runner bumper was not properly aligned and eventually warping, paint peeled off after two months from repair. we reported all this and took it in the beginning of July and only the spot paint was done. It is now September 27 and after endless efforts of trying to talk to a supervisor and making phone calls to find out the status pf the bumper we have not resolved this issue. They keep blaming the person who no longer works there and the insurance for the delay. Please avoid this location in Yuma, AZ. Local is definitely the way to go. read more

When the original replacement door that was ordered arrived damaged (no fault of theirs), he let me know they would make it a priority to replace it asap and they still managed to complete the repair by the original estimated date! While visiting Yuma, our 2018 car got a very long scratch (looked like someone keyed it) on the driver's side. My husband did a search and found Gerber and directed us there. When we got there, Eric greeted us and took care of the scratches in a VERY short amount of time. And for a very nominal price! We drove off, very pleased with the work...and then we noticed a long scratch on the OTHER side of our car!! OMG!! So we took the car back to Gerber and they did the other side in about 10 minutes. Eric was so kind, and the atmosphere in general is very calming and professional. I also noticed that they were very attentive to everyone who walked in so that no one was just waiting around. About a year or so ago my husband was involved in a hit and run. Never caught the guy but my husband was ok no injuries. Unfortunately it sustained some damage and our insurance had us go there. It took a little while but we got the car back. Only issue was the right rear tail light was dimmer and that was because of the wrong bulb being used and the tail light was protruding out a bit. We got those issues fixed and the payment wasn't too bad from our insurance. Thank you guys! read more

I was directed here by Geico. I knew I made a mistake when I saw the insurance company's sign on their door. After an estimated 45+ mile an hour rear collision: None of the underlying bumper assemblies were inspected or replaced. The frame wasn't inspected. The alignment wasn't inspected even though I explicitly told them I was pulling after the accident. I've got new rattles in the front of the car that they never found, or, I suspect even looked for. The passenger seat vibrates violently at freeway speeds when no one is sitting in it. All they did was repair and spot paint the bumper and trunk. If you're sent here by an insurance company, take your car to someone who works for YOU. read more

I was hit by a Semi running a red light, insurance sent me here. I asked them to also provide a quote to fix other minor paint scratches on the other side of my truck, they never did, even after calling multiple times. Back up sensors were not plugged in when I picked the truck up, headlight was loose because they overtightened it and broke the plastic tab that holds it in place. So my passenger headlight was pointing down, they also didn't hook up my right fog light. They replaced the passenger side mirror but they didn't wire it properly so now my mirror doesn't go up or down, and when I move the switch left, the mirror goes right. The paint looks great, but if you have any body parts/panels that need to removed or replaced, I would go somewhere else. They claim to have called me to pick my truck up but there were no missed calls on my phone, I just so happened to be in the area and saw my truck sitting outside so I checked to see if it was ready. read more

The worst experience. Dropped my car off on 2/7 for collision repair. I was told the repair would take one week. Returned my rental on 2/11 at the end of the day expecting my car to be ready by 5 pm on the 14th. One excuse after another why the job wasn't completed on time. I just picked it up today 2/21. In 2015 my husband hit a coyote while headed to YPG. We called GEICO and got our claim started and we were sent to Gerber for repairs since they were the only GEICO shop. The entire front bumper of the car had to be replaced, but it was done in a matter of days. Super quick, but it appears quality lacked because of the quickness. In less than 18 months, we noticed the bumper coming off. We went through a hassle trying to get the lifetime warranty taken care of with GEICO because we live in California now and they wanted us to bring it back to this shop (why we would do that twice is beyond me). Now, we are at a week without our car while a whole new bumper is installed because it was not attached properly by Gerber. We were doubtful then to use them, but went with what GEICO suggested. Save yourself from having to have it redone later, go to a more reputable shop. read more

I took my car for fender damage. This is the same car in Ann Marie's review. I brought the vehicle back numerous times for things overlooked. This is the second time I have dealt with them. The first was when my mother needed repairs made on her 2005 mercedes benz and went through hell getting it fixed correctly. I foolishly decided to try to get another car fixed here. The problem isn't the service cause they did there best, at first, to keep me updated. I think it's that the management or supervisors aren't very mechanically inclined. Things were left "good enough" on the vehicles and not repaired properly. The second car I brought was old, about 24 years old and has problems. If I was called the second the problems occurred things would have gone smoother. One of those problems was a battery that just arrived at the end of its life. Another was after I picked up the car and the transmission bolts were loose and twisting with the motor. things break on old cars, I understand that better than most people, just tell me about it when it happens so I can address it. I was called by the Betty and Jordan after I told a representative who called me, that my repairs didn't turn out as desired, but I was working and never called them back. I could not think of what they could do to fix my problem. Plus they sounded pretty mad at me so I didn't want to argue over the phone. The only thing I can think of was to get repairs paid for at another place. I left with a battery that has bad cells because no one tested it before putting it in my car, paint that didn't match the paint exactly, a missing massive cold air filter. They gave me the battery and turned in my bad one so that isn't that bad but I would have paid more for a performance battery in it and not have my cruise control module smashed. I'm done with the whole ordeal and don't wish to experience any further service from their repair staff. My only recommendation is to get someone who has body shop experience to work under Jordan to help advise him on vehicles that may need another approach or extra attention. I'm no customer service expert, so I can't criticize the service but the repair staff needs someone to look over there work a little better. read more

One of our cars was damaged in a wind storm by a flying portajohn - not kidding! Entire side of the car was dented and scratched all to heck, but Gerber Collision & Glass made it as good as new. The glass is total clear, the body work was excellent and the paint matched perfectly. The customer service was also great - very professional and helpful, and also very clean. Most repair places are somewhere between dingy and flat-out awful but Gerber looks and feels like a car dealership rather than a repair shop. A year later the window regulator in my other car broke and the window dropped into the door frame. This has happened 4 times in the 6 years we've owned the car - what junk. We had braced two of the windows ourselves, but this one was down in the door frame and required more than we could do. We went to Gerber and asked them to fix all three windows and brace them in the up position so we could keep the car going as cheaply as possible - we hope to replace it soon. Gerber fixed all 3 quickly and even comped the job - how amazing is that?! Gerber is a great business and I highly recommend them. read more

On the way to San Diego and the plastic cover under my engine came lose and was dragging along the road. Stayed in Yuma that night and woke up early to go to Gerber because it was recommended by a friend. The only employee there was the admin/receptionist and she informed me that no mechanics were coming in today. I explained my situation and she rallied the troops in 10 min flat! They reattached the plastic cover in no time (which was missing 10 bolts!) And at no charge!!! I love these guys!! read more

They are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and courteous all-around from beginning to end as both Adam & Betty were terrific with the handling of my Audi S5 claim. I stopped in to get an estimate on my driver side widow and passenger side window to have them replaced. The receptionist handled everything fine, I waited 10 min just to be told that they don't do glass. I asked why they advertise Gerber collision and glass and she just said " we don't do glass." Doesn't make sense to me why they would advertise glass and they don't do it. read more

Probably one of THE WORST places to go for repairs. Had to get my fender repainted, they did not match the stock color of my car. They got overspray in my engine bay, they some how chipped paint OFF my door handle. So they had to keep my car EVEN LONGER to fix what they fucked up. Zero stars! read more

Absolutely no quality control. Took many trips back before the repair was acceptable. The customer service was ok but I could tell they were annoyed at times with me even though I was the one getting the short end of the stick. My advice is to do your homework before you choose a body shop. I wish I would have. Don't use the body shop your insurance wants you to go to. was involved in a accident progressive insurance made me take my car to this place in order for them to rent me a car while mine was getting fixed which is a total joke. come to find out i could have taken it wherever i wanted to but was coerced to take it to gerber. i could have found someone more competent at home depot to fix the car. got the car back to notice you can hear the wind coming into the car when im driving, they tried to fix the headlight brackets with jb weld or some sort of epoxy instead of just getting new ones, writing all over the inside the engine compartment with arrows drawn all over, the same side car was hit on has a funny sound when braking which it never did before it was supposedly fixed by a company that claims 75 years in the autobody business. i would advise you to look elsewhere for a competent shop to fix youre car because this place is good for nothing. read more
