They let me know that I had to text an address, pickup and drop off to their system so they would get us. At the time when we were supposed to get picked up, I called the taxi number and they told me that due to prior commitments they would now be 30 minutes late which would force us to miss our winery tour. I insisted they call another driver to get us, and after not hearing back for 20 minutes I called back. She made me aware that she had sent another driver to get us. He arrives (finally) AN HOUR later than our original pick up time. Thankfully, the vineyard worked with us and we ended up being able to take a later tour, but to get back from the winery was a whole other issue. Both the driver and the company advised we call with an hours notice to ensure a pickup. I called at 4 PM to get picked up - to both the driver and the company - neither of which picked up. I texted both as well to which I never got a response. After the tour ended at 4:30, I called and texted again, left voicemails and of course - no response. We were stranded at the vineyard and had to call 5 other cab companies and thankfully found one. If it were not for Karen's Taxi (a much better run company with good service) we would've been stranded there until we could've convinced an employee to take us home. Karen finally arrived at 6 PM. Do not ever trust this company with transporting you anyways. They are very unreliable and down right rude.

We felt like we were driving forever and just needed a spot for the night to start a drag drive. Yes, it was dark too. No fun for us flat land Floridians. The phone service was poor so we weren't able to get gps. We pulled off the side of the road with our RV to take a breather and gather our thoughts when we looked over to the right we saw this campground. We pulled in not sure if anyone would be around, and the office was closed. We saw a phone number and made the call. A kind lady answered and said she would be right over to help find us a spot. We couldn't have been happier to hear those words. In the morning we looked around. It's a quiet campground. Looks like some may keep their RV's here since they have cute little porches around. They do have a laundry facility, restrooms and showers for guests. A river runs down the side of it and is peaceful. There is a small playground. They have full hook up available as well. So glad they were here for us.

They claimed that it was the wrong address, (It was the address on their website, as well as on YELP). So the service was returned. Following is the explanation I previously posted: I first booked them for several trips in December of 2021. I called them from my house in Center Valley. They were one of the first shuttles I ever used, so when they said they required payment up front with a credit card, and assured me that I would be able to use any money from a cancelled shuttle in the future, I stupidly booked an entire week of shuttles, $385. Before the last shuttle they informed me that where I was going to park might be locked for the season when I got there, so I canceled the last shuttle and said I would return next year. I was again assured that the $80 credit would be available. No mention was made of any restrictions. I called to book a shuttle for July 2022. They said they were on vacation. I said, OK, just transfer the amount to one of the shuttlers that you work with (I had been told that they worked with other shuttles, and indeed on one shuttle, they did send someone else to take care of me.) They said no. They said that the guarantee does not extend to when they are on vacation...first time I have heard that!!!! They said I could come in August. I said I couldn't. I have since found NO other shuttle demands payment up front (though a few told me they would for a very long shuttle). I posted on a Facebook page dedicated to the Appalachian Trail. Without exception, everyone, hikers and shuttlers, expressed shock that such a large deposit would be required. The Further Shuttle promised me a service, refused to provide it when I requested it, and refused to do the right thing. David W. Quatrone

The inn now has new owners and it is still a great place to stay, but I miss the personal hospitality. Everything now is done via phone or online. My three boys ages 9,9 and 13 were very upset that there was no longer complimentary homemade goodies (muffins, fruit, granola bars, bread) and I had to request the code to the lobby. Otherwise, the Deerfield Inn is still a great place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the lake view.

WiFi sucks, but the guy who took us to our sight went and got a loaner router from the office and helped hook it up. Office, clubhouse, pool area and facilities were all very nice and new. The pads are concrete are fairly level. The bad Or original site was someone's driveway. There was a tree overgrowing the driveway on the same side I had to back that made it a challenge to get into the sight. Once in the tree dropped crap all over our toad. The view from our right side window was the side of the building who's driveway we had parked in. My awning almost touched the building and there was very little room outside of our door. The WiFi here didn't work, nor did the cable connection for the tv. They did move us at our request to another open sight. So if you're planning on coming here you have to specifically ask if you're going to be in someone's driveway, because they won't offer that information and the site map doesn't show which lots have buildings on them. If you're looking for peace and quite, this is not the place for you. There is ongoing constructing between the heavy equipment clearing the property for more sites, or the constant banging of people repairing or having new permanent units worked on. Overpriced at $70.00 a day plus extra to be on the creek. We found a much nicer, quieter place in Hiawasee for 35.00 a night with riverfront sights at no extra cost. There's a reason for the 30 day cancellation notice. We tried to get out of our second week to go somewhere else, but they wouldn't allow it. Needless to say, we won't be back. The ugly There was nothing I would rate as ugly here. Just not the place for us ever again.

Blairsville is a small ittle mountain town up near the Georgia and North Carolina state line. Blairsville is home to the tallest peak in Georgia, Brasstown Bald Mountain, part of the Blueridge mountains. There are so many things to do up there (cut down your own Christmas tree at Southern Tree Plantation, tubing, hiking, shopping, horseback riding) and it's just a beautiful town in general. These cabins are nestled on the side of a mountain, right off US19, a main highway in Blairsville. They are in a community of other cabins, but still ensure privacy behind trees and distance. Our cabin was Blackberry Cabin, and it was one of the highest on the property. We have a V6 regular drive Dodge Dakota, and it made it up the gravel road with no problem (after realizing we needed to give it a little more gas than these flat road drivers were used to!) The cabin was fully equipped and gorgeous. We had all the comforts of home plus a wood burning fireplace, and an breathtaking view from the porch. At the entrance of the community, there is a firepit (with pre-chopped wood always stocked), trails to hike along a stream, and fields to play a game of Frisbee if you're so inclined! If you're looking for a safe, comfortable and beautiful mountain community to spend a weekend (or week) at, check out Highland Falls Cabins! You won't be disappointed!
