Unfortunately we did not receive the great same service. The original owner sold the business and the standard of service has really dropped. My first clue should of been how unprofessionally the phone was answered. The woman who answered the phone sounded distracted, not sure of what she was doing and kept asking someone next to her the answers to my questions. The second red flag was the so called inspection which consisted of an invoice with one line stating "Septic seems to be working." After we moved into the house a week later we could smell the septic, which wasn't there before. I called Muck to ask questions/advice, once again I got the same woman who didn't have a clue and she proceed to tell me, "oh something must be wrong with the septic." I said, you just inspected it and you told us everything was okay and now you're telling me something is wrong! She started to back pedal what she told me and said she would send someone out to have a look. I asked her to call me when the person came out so I could see what was going on. Three weeks and no one ever turned up and no phone call. I called them again, the same woman told me oh we went out and had a look and everything was fine. I asked her, how did you get back there with a locked gate and septic tank that's under a deck with a large stone table on top it? Again, she promised me they would come out on the Friday, surprise, surprise no one turned up! I would not recommend Muck to anyone, quality of service is very poor, the don't stand by their work and they are either absent-minded or lairs.

After getting no clear answers from our previous service provider, we reached out to the manufacturer of the ATT tank. Their assessment pointed to poor maintenance as the cause. Once we transferred our contract to Main Beam Septic Specialists--what a difference! They inspected the system right away, arranged for proper pumping, flushed the sand filter, and thoroughly cleaned everything for the first time. This family business is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always takes time to explain every detail. We now have complete confidence in our system and in the care we're receiving.

They came out the same day and determined that it was not a drain field issue after all. And, that we had a blockage in the drain pipe leading to the septic tank. I cannot speak more fondly or highly of him. What an absolute gem. Honest and so extremely attentive. I cannot count how many times he said if I needed any more help he would be there for me, he went above and beyond any contractor ever has for me. I was on a bit of a time crunch and he accommodated my needs and joyfully made it happen. I was a purchasing agent for nearly 15 years.
