How these fees were distributed remains unclear to me, both Marble Law and Ms. Poblenz's firm continuously pass the buck to one another, with neither entity taking accountability for the poor service provided. After my initial intake, I was recommended filing on the bases of adultery and cruel treatment since I had the necessary proof. However, the moment my case moved into the discovery phase and was transferred to Ms. Poblenz, everything went downhill due to a total lack of internal communication. It was immediately apparent that Ms. Poblenz had not bothered to read my file or transition notes. She sent over drafts for my approval that were missing critical facts or included irrelevant information that did not apply to my discovery needs. Furthermore, they intimidated me by claiming a judge would require proof, and condescendingly questioned if I actually had it. I was forced to explicitly tell them to have the basic professional courtesy to familiarize themselves with my case in its entirety. They treated me like a burden, acting more like opposing counsel than my advocates. Throughout this process, Marble continuously bashed local independent attorneys manipulating me into believing that I should be "grateful" for Ms. Poblanz and their subpar care. The moment Ms. Poblenz finally got the discovery draft right and emailed it to my husband, she notified Marble and I immediately got a call from them demanding an extra $2,040, threatening that my case would not proceed if I didn't pay. Their telephone communication is equally unprofessional; the attorney and her paralegal share the same first name, leading to confusing situations resulting on my request for information being dismissed on the bases of the speaker being "just a paralegal" and couldn't advise, yet during a subsequent call to speak directly with the attorney, I'm rudely told, "I AM the attorney!" A review of other negative feedback indicates a consistent pattern: a complete refusal to take accountability, followed by endless excuses. Avoid BOTH entities.

I think I spoke with someone at your office twice and the second time she took detailed information and said she was going to call each of the cities and get back to me and then when I didn't hear back I called and followed up and no one ever called back. So to accept online and then to go further and have a conversation with me and then not return my calls, not only leaves me waiting but it also leaves the other attorneys waiting because I'm not sure what's going on if you're taking it or not. I will be filing a formal complaint with the State Bar of Texas for unethical conduct and mishandling of client funds. Future clients: protect yourself.
