I accepted the quote, left multiple voice messages and multiple emails - which with evidence were opened and read because I have professional tracking email software that monitors and provide email reporting, in order to schedule to have the work executed. David lacked the professional courtesy to follow up and follow through on a landscaping assignment he committed to. In short if a business does not honor it's commitments and a business owner does not honor an agreement and/or their word, the business and the business owner cannot be trusted! After the fact I saw other individuals posted reviews on Google and Facebook having the same type of encounter, apparently this a pattern with David - not returning potential customer phone calls when he has committed to a project and not following up with potential customer email inquiries. I was fortunate enough to locate and work with a true professional landscaping company licensed and registered in NJ & PA (SKYVIEW LANDSCAPING & MAINTENANCE), with a perfect customer rating, has a professional Website and SKYVIEW LANDSCAPING & MAINTENANCE were consistent with communications, projects are fairly priced, and THE SKYVIEW LANDSCAPING & MAINTENANCE team were a pure joy to work with. I WAS INITIALLY SUSPICIOUS OF WHY I DID NOT SEE A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS WEBSITE FOR LAWN & ORDER LANDSCAPING SERVICES, LLC. OTHER THEN A FACEBOOK ADVERTISEMENT AS MOST PROFESSIONAL/LEGITIMATE BUSINESSES HAVE BOTH, but I only focused on the positive reviews, which should have been my first red flag! Hence the lesson in this review regarding the unprofessionalism and unethical practices of LAWN & ORDER LANDSCAPING SERVICES LLC. and its owner. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, STAY AWAY FROM LAWN & ORDER LANDSCAPING SERVICES, LLC.

They informed us that they charge extra for cutting up the trees and that it was a lack of communication with their office woman and the estimator. The second time they came we paid $2,400 for an entire day of them taking down as many trees as possible; and an extra $500 for them to grind down the tree stumps; total $2,900. Tree of Life only took down three (3) trees in a 6 hour period. When taking down one of the trees they hit our mailbox twice. It fell to the ground each time and they pushed it back up. It was a brand new mailbox which we just had installed. It was scratched, banged up, and the numbers flew off. The upsetting part was that they did NOT inform us. We saw it on our video camera; pretty shady and NOT professional. When they came for payment I asked why they were leaving at 3:00 when they had more time to cut down more of our trees. He informed us that a full day includes their drive time to our house and back to their garage. We let them know we saw what they did to our mailbox and we deducted the damages from their bill. Needless to say, we will NOT be using them again.

We hired A Perfect Image, LLC (API, LLC) through Robert for a ground leveling, soil, and grass seed…read morejob quoted at $3,000. I gave the initial money directly to the company. After a $2,000 payment, we were charged an extra $3,500 for soil, bringing the total paid to $5,500. The owner brought in an associate to take over the project, claiming they miscalculated the needs by 100 cubic yards. We are now facing demands for an additional $2,200, bringing the total demand to $7,700 for a job originally locked in at $3,000. Once the money changed hands, the business completely checked out and refused to remain involved. The final results left behind are completely unacceptable and require a costly overhaul to fix. The grading is entirely wrong, causing water to pool directly toward the house foundation instead of draining safely. Furthermore, instead of the permanent lawn seed promised in our quote, cheap rye seed was planted. Throughout this process, there has been an absolute lack of accountability and highly unprofessional behavior on our property. Our agreement and initial payments were directly with this company, yet the owner refused to oversee the project or honor the quote, abandoning us to deal with his associate demanding more money. Homeowners, protect yourselves before hiring: Never give a down payment up front. Get absolutely everything in writing, including the exact total price, specific soil amounts, drainage requirements, and precise seed types. Make sure the entity you pay is the one doing the actual work. Demand proof of insurance and call the provider directly to confirm the policy is active before work begins and what it covers. Don't pay anything unless the job is 100% complete and satisfactory. We do not recommend this business.
