I went with my wife to see Dr Iftikhar. First we met with not so friendly staff at the counter, but…read morewe thought that the person might have a bad day, so no issue. Then when we were called in, we were surprised to see Dr Iftikhar. He was in a night sleeping pajama type dress with stains all around (may be blood or pee or juice). The worst thing was when he opened his mouth and started to talk to my wife, in an arrogant and unprofessional way. He was standing there for roughly 60 to 90 seconds, and then left. I have been so many doctors in the last 30 years, but Dr Iftikhar certainly tops the list of the worst doctor I have ever met.

He'll just call you back annoyed and give you a very vague answer to your concerns. I've heard "I don't know" so many times from him for problems he is supposed to be treating me for. My primary care has been more knowledgeable than this "specialist" which is concerning. Don't do an endoscopy with him either. I was in pain for well over a month on the limbs I was laid on while unconscious and he would not take accountability for possibly hurting me. I just wanted to put my mind at ease but instead of saying it's possible to get muscle aches from this he says "maybe you're having a stroke or something is happening with your brain" I was shocked he would suggest such things.

It appears that Dignity group does not value my time, nor the time of their other patients, and…read morebecause they find no particular value in my time, they feel free to waste it liberally. Dealing with Dignity Health is a frustrating and chaotic experience at best, and at worst, your issues are faster and more easily addressed by driving to the office of the doctor you want to see. There are several sites and multiple specialties within the group, all served by a single call center that can only pass a message on tagged to your digital medical file. Although you may know precisely where your doctor works, the staff at that site do not have their own phone numbers to take a direct call. Today, I wasted roughly 25 minutes on hold trying to reach my doctor with a quetion about my post-operative care, eventually driving to his office just seven minutes away and finding that he had left the building 15 minutes earlier to handle an emergency at the hospital across the street. My question from yesterday remains unanswered, but fortunately, it seems that the issue may be resolving, slowly, but spontaneously. Dr. Bradley Digney is the surgeon who did my operation, and I can recommend him heartily and without reservations and would not hesitate to have him operate on me or my loved ones in the future should the need arise. Frankly, he deserves better services from the Dignity Health management even more than do I. The management seems to think that distancing the doctors from their patients with a call center is good, and they appear to know nothing about the Human Kindness that this bureaucracy claims to value. The practice of medicine is a human to human interaction, and should be respected and treated as such. Charles R. McCormick, MD

At each appt I have a short wait time and I am quickly seen. The doctor is very courteous, competent and quickly identified a potential diagnosis. Ordered diagnostics are conducted within a couple of weeks because my issues weren't life threatening. However each diagnostic was very thorough and personally performed by the doctor himself. I couldn't ask for a better doctor or facility. Diagnostics were performed nearby.
