I attend St. Mary and I absolutely love it here for the small class sizes. I am in my 6th year and the school does so much to help local charities and partner with the community. They have a cafeteria with their own local chef from Millarville so the food is made fresh everyday. There is a C-Train station within walking distance. The school has created and is well known for their Humanities 101 program providing free University courses to low income adults :)

St. Marys is a really great stepping stone in a way from high school to University due to the small class sizes, small campus populous, and small campus size. If you are a very social person then this school is perfect, their SA creates a lot of events and everyone is very personable and friendly. The teachers are all helpful as well and are easy to communicate with. The location is convenient since it's close to a train station, but its close proximity to fish creek has resulted in deer running around, and possibly a cougar once (I'm talking about the animal). I haven't been there for three years so I don't know what's changed but I remember a very small cafeteria, not many seating areas, and having to go to UofC's library for books. I do believe the school was constantly working to improve so I'm sure it's in good shape now.

For intellectual stimulation they offer free lectures showcasing some prominent experts in a number of ground breaking fields. They also offer networking opportunities through their Shindig events which are usually free. If you are looking for information for your child to attend the UofA, they have someone who will help you out. However, I get the sense that they are open to new opportunities to work with grads in helping get the UofA name out in Calgary. Talk to the staff, they are helpful and proactive. Columbia College is like a very mini university which I like as I studied at a small university. You get more personal service and people are overall friendlier plus you get to see everyone more often. It is easy to navigate and they had an outdoor canteen that I wanted to try but just didn't have the time. I would highly recommend taking any courses here. For me it was easily accessible by bus and ctrain then bus. For me that is no problem as I sold my car a few years ago in order to support a cleaner environment and reduction of consumerism.

Furthermore, our Accounting Assistant Instructor, Mr. Rashid, has taught us Manual and Software Accounting topics in a profound manner, covering all of the critical aspects of Accounting and Financial Analysis. He has also spent a lot of his personal time to answer questions, to clarify accounting issues, and to grade assignments and exams.
