Avoid like the plague. George Bush and his brother, John F. Pearson, were hired to do an extension. They walked off the job (more like ran) after they were caught contravening the building regulations by the planning department. They literally threw in planks of wood, rubbish and chunks of bricks with no insulation for the flooring. They were trying to cover it up with concrete and were halfway done when the planning department officer showed up and confronted them. They put in a plywood roof and covered it to make it look like it was done properly. They put in false electrics and gas pipes that led to nowhere. They stole the key to my rear gate and refused to return it. The walls were wobbly and bits of brick were falling down. To this day I still have to replace a door as it became warped due to the shoddy brickwork. The extension had to be halfway torn down and rebuilt. They took £14,500 of my hard earned cash and when I refused to pay more John called and threatened to harm me and my 10 month old baby. I had to call the police on him. I found these cowboys through mybuilder.com and checked out their references. Unknown to me the people they claimed to work for turned out to be their friends. George, if you are reading this, I am seriously considering taking you into court now that I tracked you down. read more
