The best! I cannot say enough good things about Lou at Geometrix. He is very knowledgeable, efficient, and out of all these, I got the survey free of charge from Lou. I contacted Lou for a residential property boundaries survey. Lou responded to me very fast. He let me know his estimated service charge for this kind of work and his availability before giving me a detailed quote. After I sent over the title report, Lou was able to find a survey performed at my place in 1999, and send me over the detailed measurement and the map, and suggested me to try and use it first because the survey service is very expensive. And also explained to me about the survey monument which is located on the street of my place. So, I was able to use this past survey from Lou without any charge. This entire time, Lou didn't ask me to pay him first or prepare a detailed quote with the contract to sign. I contacted eight survey companies for the work I need to do. Three of them I have never heard back. One of them wasn't available to take my work. I got three detailed quotes and availabilities, but none of them have searched the past history record, and looking into the details. I appreciate the work Lou has done. Lou Clem at Geometrix did a complicated survey at our home on the coast south of San Francisco in San Mateo County. When we contacted Lou for an initial estimate, he responded very promptly. Of all the surveyors we contacted, he understood best what we needed and was available to do the survey promptly. His bid was comparable with or lower than others whom we contacted. Our survey was a border survey to determine our property boundaries prior to installing a perimeter fence. Completing the survey necessitated working around our contractor and his crew and braving dense shrubbery, including poison oak, and an unexpected absence of nearby boundary monuments. Lou navigated all of these obstacles with good humor and was both determined to get the job done right in a timely way and affably accommodating to our schedule and needs. He also patiently answered our questions about surveying, while also being focused in getting the work done. His maps of our property were easy to read and informative and we appreciated little extras he threw in at no added cost, such as marking where our solar panel array was closest to our property border and setting extra line markers where the fence will go, making it easy for the fencing contractor to install the fence. We will likely have further survey needs in the future and we plan to reach out to Lou at Geometrix again at that time for further survey work. Five stars! read more

When the quote come back that was very competitive, I decided to go with Geometrix. Geometrix is a rarity in the real estate / contstruction / permit business. Lou at Geometrix Surveying helped us throughout our Condo conversion. Initially, we just needed to establish the property line for our lot, so we could install fencing in the backyard. Lou was relentless in his search ing for ancient markers to establish the correct locations. He finally found the marker under a parked car! We were extremely pleased with his professionalism and he basically took care of everything, including submitting the paperwork to the City for the recording of the Survey. When we wanted to proceed with the Condo conversion a few years later, Lou honored his original quote, which was very reasonable.
