This is a review of the GUIDED CHALLENGE TOUR 2017. I am very fit and ride over 3,500 miles a year…read more The hotels and the bikes ( as long as YOU know how to make it fit you) were very nice. This is the most expensive tour company I have used with the least amount of support. In fact there is no SAG wagon, in an emergency you have to figure out how to use the train and bus system, no refueling with energy bars, the group consisted of 19 rider and only 2 guides. The guides and transport/cook for picnic lunches are contracted out. One guide was a previous employee from 6 years ago that flew in from California to help. The second guide only works for Bike Switzerland doing one or two tours a year. My GPS did not match the route we were riding, it didn't match the guides and my position on the GPS left me confused of where I really was. There was no cultural wine tasting, cheese making tour, breakfast on the farm. You were on the bike route for 9 hours. Getting to the hotels to late to explore the village or take in the resort. After the first day of riding 6 riders did not ride the second day and at noon another 4 dropped out having to figure out how to get there bike and themselves to that evenings hotel. I will stop my review here, to say the least I was very disappointed in Bike Switzerland and I had been looking forward to doing this trip for the past 4 years.

Such a missed opportunity to do something great - super location, great mechanics yet ownership…read morethat only cares about squeezing every penny out of each customer. I spent thousands of dollars there over the last couple of years and really found the mechanics top notch. But the first time I had a problem, it could have been simply solved and the owner wouldn't even address it. I was shocked after being a loyal customer I could only image how he must gauge tourists. When I told him about the issue I never asked for a specific resolution (just wanted to let the owner Martin, know I was charged for work I didn't request and the work I did request was never done) he had the chance to take accountability and make it right. Instead he told me any problems were between me and the employees he "had nothing to do with it". A terribly spineless way to run a business. Imagine bringing your car in for a brake job and because the mechanics thought it was old looking they give you a new paint job but never do the brakes!! Stay away from here, there is a great shop in Les Houches and a super place in Sallanches.

I went to Zero G for boots and came out with a whole new set: board, boots and bindings! I am so happy with the quality of my new equipment. I had a three-day weekend in Grenoble following a work-trip, and I feel like I couldn't have made a…read morebetter choice about how to spend those days. It is truly hard to imagine a more enjoyable motorcycling environment than what I found - beautiful, curvy mountain roads in every direction. Traffic was light. The weather was perfect. I rode for about eight hours each day and I feel like every portion was a thrill. It's hard to pick which part was the best - so many contenders! It's motorcycle heaven. I was really impressed with Mike's service. Originally I had planned to merely rent a bike (the BMW F800 GT) and do a self-guided tour, but I am so thankful that Mike showed me around. I am sure I wouldn't have been nearly as ambitious without his knowledge of the area - and that made all the difference. He brought the bike out to my hotel and also helped me get to the bus station on my way out. He really went the extra mile in every way to make sure my trip was smooth. The bike was in great shape and was fun to ride. I also rented a jacket and helmet, which was really nice to be able to do instead of having to pack my own. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to stay! The next time I visit Grenoble I will definitely be contacting M2 once again.
