She also asked me whether I wanted to trim or blend my hair, which is exactly the right kind of question, because I never know what I want and I have to be nudged in the right direction. I like the I could use a credit card to pay, and to leave a tip. My only suggestion would be for the barbers to use warm foam. Also New Brunswick is a pain to park in, so give yourself time to get there.

The kid goes down for a nap and my wife green lit the hair cut. I got there 10 minutes early and they were able to take me a few minutes early which I appreciated. The guy who cut my hair was good. He was young looking but he did a great job. He did a lot of attention to detail with my beard and whipped out a straight razor to clean up my brow a bit. I thought the prices were affordable and the shop was clean. Added bonus for Rutgers students they have a discount which is always nice. In about 30 minutes I was transformed from possibly homeless to stylin. And located on George Street in New Brunswick is pretty central. Worth checking out if you need a hair cut.

My barber Joan (pronounced Joe-Juan) has been my barber throughout that time. He is very detailed and consistent with his craft. Haircuts are $25-30, which is very reasonable for the detailed service they provide. I am always pleased with the results. He speaks some English but mostly Spanish. However, perhaps his most admired quality is not initiating nor engaging in the idle chatter so many hair stylists do to combat their Boredom or feed their egos. Kevin never loses focus. The other stylists: the younger newer Asian stylist does great job and is equally as focused. As for the rest: the other 40 something male and mature woman stylist should rather be categorized as pseudo-psychologists as their mouths move twice as quick as their hands - and usually delving into some controversial statement or probing question to their held-hostage chair victims.
